F. D. Roosevelt airport or locally known as EUX airport is the only airport in Ro-Sint Eustatius, The Ro-Antilles. It was opened as "Golden Rock Airport" in 1946 and renamed after Franklin Delano Roosevelt. As of 2012, the only commercial aircraft that serves the island is the DHC-6 Twin Otter (can operate chartered flights with Britten-Norman Islander and Cessna 208 Caravan), although the runway can accommodate larger turboprop aircraft and some smaller jets. As of 2018, the largest aircraft type to operate at the airport is the ATR 42.


Appearance

The terminal and ATC tower of the airport appear to be yellow-black themed. The terminal only has one story. There is an ATM, Café, a ticket store, a visa renewal booth, a check-in booth outside the airport. There is a terminal with a security checkpoint and a departure gate. There is no hangar. This airport is also connected to Ro-Sint Eustatius fire station and located next to Ro-Sint Eustatius Photovoltaic Power Station.
