East Birchland County is a municipal district located in the Southeast side of Bloxalberta. It is bordering Teadgreen County to the north, Bloxleduc and Hometin counties in the west,and Metro Calblox with Clairston County. The municipal office is located in Fort Hedson, located at the East Kenz Fraser River.
History
Originally Improvement District No. 32, the name was changed to Municipal District of Birch No. 32 in 1992. This was not the same for West Birchland. MD Of Birch No. 32 changed to East Birchland County in 1996, following West Birchland 2 years after.
Geography
The municipal district is located in east Bloxalberta. It is known for the birch trees localized in the aress of Fort Hedson. This is the same for West Birchland. It also holds the third largest lake in Bloxalberta, Hedson Lake, just 6km North of Fort Hedson.
