Dweller, formerly known as DwellerPlayz and also known as DwellerPlays and Dweller4, is a Ro-British content creator on BloxTube primarily making Stepford County Railway content and streams. He likes Stepford County Railway. He is the mayor of Sokun, PNM State with ypthery. According to his channel description, his real name is Ben, and his channel is primarily based on Stepford County Railway, a railway network located in the Bloxia Kingdom. As of December 25, 2022, he has 9,320 subscribers and has a Bloxtube account, a Ro Discord account, and a Blox-Twitter account. He's working as a senior signaller in Stepford County Railway, but is also working at BBC News as a reporter and news anchor.

Early Life

Dweller was born at NHS Stepford City General Hospital (National Health Service Stepford City General Hospital) in Stepfordshire (Stepford County), 1985. His mom was Neo-Japanese (Chinatsu) and his dad was Ro-British (James). He used to photograph every aircraft and train using a 1980s camera (he was given a 1990s camera at his first birthday of the 1990s).

Dweller used to be a student at Rocket Parade Elementary School when Dweller was 6 years old. Dweller's report cards showed exceeding proficiency in math and geography. Dweller, when he was 9 years old, took a foreign language class on Bloxish, and received non-decent marks.

Content

Dweller's main channel primarily consists of SCR content, with few other videos and streams. Below is a list of some of the notable series posted on his BloxTube channel.

Trespassing School

In this series, Dweller films himself trespassing into various areas of the SCR network, such as station roofs and depots. This series is reminiscent of his older text-only videos, and he has not made a Trespassing School video for a considerable amount of time.

Sneak Peek Review

In this series, Dweller reviews sneak peeks posted on the SCR Ro Discord server and SCR Blox-Twitter account. He was formerly criticized for making low-quality sneak peek videos, but he is no longer criticized.

Friday SCR Vacation

Every Friday, he goes to Stepford County Railway with his friends. He then vlogs and posts the vlog in his channel.

Growth of SCR Bloxtubers since 2017

Before Dweller discontinued this series, it was updated every three months, and featured an animation of the subscriber growth of SCR content creators since before the railway's founding in 2017. The final video was posted in June 2022.

He has made appearances on BBC News as a reporter and a news anchor. He hired Trainspotting Mayhem to be the newsreader. They report various stories happening within Stepford County. All of his appearances are uploaded to Bloxtube.

Criticism

Dweller has been criticized for multiple different things.

Video Quality

In the past, particularly before mid-2021, Dweller's videos were of low quality due to the fact that he had used Rodows Photo Editor to edit his videos. He has since switched to Shotcut, the same video software SquadFam9000 was already using. However, despite this, there was still some criticism about the fact that videos were recorded with extremely low render distance due to the fact that he had a self-proclaimed "potato phone". He has recently purchased a better phone though, and since then the quality has drastically increased.

Berrily

Dweller was known for his liking of Berrily (it is an inside joke). However, he was criticized about this for his "shaming" of Robloxians who skip the station or crash into the buffers. Additionally, the related "Berrily is pog" meme faced criticism for being used way too much by Dweller's fanbase. Trainspotting Mayhem, a fellow content creator, had a strong dislike of the station and therefore criticized Dweller for this, even going as far as making a diss track about the station (this rivalry has since died down). In more recent times, Dweller has deliberately calmed down the Berrily joke, following an incident with a member of the SCR community.

Trivia

  • Dweller once stated that he had intentions to become a supervisor at some point after he was promoted to senior signaler.
    • He was eventually accepted to the team as a senior signaler in the July 2022 hirings, making him the fifth SCR content creator to ever become part of the team, with the rest being MrStormz, Draavo, SquadFam9000 and cameforthecash.
    • Dweller is the first SCR Content Creator to be a senior signaler.
  • He was known for his distaste towards the "microwaves" (a nickname commonly used to refer both the Class 220 and Class 221), as his previous home microwave oven was infamous in making his Roternet connection unstable.
    • If someone was seen driving either of these "microwaves", he would take disciplinary action by escorting them out of the railway if they are caught driving one.
    • However, he stopped disliking them after the "microwaves" were upgraded to NGv3.
  • He "shames" Robloxians for driving the Class 458, as the sounds are often perceived to sound like a chalkboard being scraped.
  • He also uploads content on three other channels:
    • 2weller: His second channel, with short and seemingly random content, often subtly or directly related to SCR but not always.
    • Dweller's Trains: A channel for real-life content which he wishes to expand in future.
    • Dweller's Hob Insurance: A joke channel about a real-life joke, with several deliberately badly edited videos, offering "hob insurance" for £5 per month. There is a commercial building at West Benton belonging to the company.
  • He is a member of the CDST Alliance, a group of SCR content creators (along with cameforthecash, SquadFam9000 and Train Stuff), with Cash and Squad also being fellow supervisors.
  • His channel name was originally Stepford County Railway User, before being changed to Dweller4PlayzSCR and then again to DwellerPlayz. In early 2021, he changed his channel name to "Dweller", before changing it back to DwellerPlayz a few minutes later. Then in 2022, he changed it yet again to just Dweller.
  • In 2019 and early 2020, he uploaded videos of him visiting Bloxburg and completing obstacle courses along with time lapses of SCR (one of his basic videos of SCR), but they have since been deleted by him. He regrets his deletion.
  • Up until May 2022, when a video was uploaded by fellow content creator Features Gaming was uploaded, many Robloxians believed Dweller's favorite station was Berrily. However, his favorite station is actually Stepford East.
  • In late 2022, he and VexSG were involved in increased tensions over a colony in Minecraftia, sparking criticism and sympathy from friends from both sides when public statements were released.
  • Dweller is known for his surreal liking of the word 'jam', mainly existing as his primary catchphrase.
