Monster Girls on The Job!, originally titled Monster Musume: Monster Girls on the Job! (Neo-Japanese: モンスター娘のいる日常:もんすたーがーる・はろーわーく) in Neo-Japan, is a Neo-Japanese simulation video game that was released on July 9th, 2005.
In Neo-Japan, It was developed and published by the video game company, Tokuma Games, making this game their ninth title to be releases. and outside of Neo-Japan, it was published by Tokuma Games’s international subsidiary, Reimu Games, Co. Ltd, making this video game be the first Tokuma Games title to be released internationally.
Development
The game started development sometime in January of 2001, but it was not announced until November of that same year, with the original release date being July of 2004.
The game was originally meant to be an cafe simulator game before it became a life simulator instead because the developers of the game wanted to add different job experiences (such as being a waiter at a cafe, being a maid and being a NJpop idol).
The soundtrack of the game was composed by two composers, Hiroaki Tsutsumi and an composer credited as manzo.
Gameplay
The game’s primary gameplay is similar to most simulators, where the player is tasked to do various jobs of any kind, such as becoming a waiter at a restaurant (Miia the Lamia), becoming a maid (Centorea the Centaur (Also known as Centorea Shianus) and becoming an NJPop music idol (Papi the Harpy).
Re-release
The game received an remaster in 2018 that was eventually ported on the Rodows 10, Mobile phones (Droid) and the Bloxtendo Switch platforms.
Reception
The game has had mixed receptions by the public, as some do not like the game due to its “repetitive” nature and other content that might be considered to be “embarrassing”.
Others however, have received the game positively due to the game’s very engaging and interesting lore and gameplay.

In Robloxia, the game is officially rated E10+ by the Ro-ESRB due to Mild Language, Fantasy Violence and Mild Suggestive Themes.
In Eurobloxia, the game is rated PEGI 13 due to the same themes as in Robloxia.
In Neo-Japan, the game is rated CERO B (12 and up) by the CERO (Computer Entertainment Rating Organization).
