Doxomisia Syndrome (also known as Heteropopularism, Jomelysis, Hatred's Syndrome and recently Heterose) is a subtype of Mood Disorders (MD). Doxomisia Syndrome involves harboring resentment toward popular Robloxians, often accusing them of stealing fame for themselves and becoming angry over perceived fame theft.

Cause

Although no definitive causes have been established for Doxomisia Syndrome, one prevailing theory posits a potential link to relationships with former friends who had previously enjoyed popularity. In such cases, the individual experiencing this syndrome may perceive themselves as having been superior to these acquaintances.

2025 Discovery

On the evening of November 21, 2025, a rare subtype of the syndrome called Doxomisiatic Hostility emerged, officially named the next day. It’s much like regular Doxomisia but far more aggressive, with violence breaking out if they see or recognize one another.

Origin

The term Doxomisia has been in use since the 1300s, though it originally meant ‘scuffing shoes’ rather than ‘hatred.’ Its modern form comes from the Greek doxa (‘reputation, public esteem’) and Latin-derived -misia (‘hatred, aversion’). In 1897, the alternate name Heteropopularism was introduced, but it remained in circulation only until 2006, when it was officially replaced by Doxomisia.
