Like the original Daycare film, the Robloxians head to, well, another daycare. Upon arriving, Robloxians are greeted by caregiver Sarah. Robloxians are then allowed time to explore the daycare’s layout and rooms downstairs which include: the main foyer, lounge, cafeteria, bathrooms, playroom (with doors leading into the playfield behind the large facility) - and upstairs which include bedrooms, balcony and another play area. After some time passes, Sarah encourages Robloxians to participate in a soccer game, where Robloxians can choose between being in the RED or BLUE team. Robloxians then play a match, and score for their team. Once the match is over, players can make their way into the cafeteria to choose from a selection of foods: Pizza, Chicken Leg, Burger, or Sandwich. After the Robloxians eat their dinner, the Robloxian Emergency Alert System is sounded from the television with the lounge. Following the tone, the accounts of a scary monster and his minions terrorizing a daycare are told. Robloxians are advised to run, hide and protect themselves from this threat. The rest of the emergency message gets cut off as the power goes off. Sarah is tasked to regenerating the power.
Meanwhile, the monster and his minions appear and begin attacking, following and teleporting towards the Robloxians while the power is restored. Robloxians must run, hide, jump and defend themselves and others in order to stay alive. Once the power has come back on, Robloxians frantically try to alert Sarah of the monster that appeared. However, Sarah denies of the allegation and just asks them to go to bed. During the night, Robloxians will see a vision of the monster in a dark and rusty enclosed space working on some suspicious machinery. The next morning, Robloxians can head down to the cafeteria to eat pancakes for breakfast, before being given extra play time afterwards by Sarah. After some time passes, Robloxians move to the lounge room where the conversation is mostly focused on last night's events. Sarah chimes in with her gaslighting telling Robloxians that the monster is not real but is soon interrupted by the monster’s minions piling up outside the front doors of the daycare. Sarah finally realizes that the monsters ARE real and puts every Robloxian into the elevator. The main monster enters the daycare and uses his powers to send the Robloxians deep down underground. It is implied that Sarah was taken hostage by the monster.
Eventually, the Robloxians find themselves within a dark hallway and glowing red lights and notice Sarah is gone. Robloxians must make their way to the end of the hallway, where they trip and fall to an abandoned mineshaft. The Robloxians move forward and find that the main entrance has been blocked completely by boulders. Robloxians must then use a pickaxe to break down planks in order to access minecarts and a track to escape. Robloxians pass by colorful glowing crystals as their minecarts speed down the tracks, and then coming to a stop at the end of the line. Rocks begin to fall, and lava begins to rise as the cave starts to collapse. Robloxians then start to evacuate the cave, and later find themselves outside of the cave inside a dark and scary forest. Robloxians should stay on the path and move quickly, avoiding bear traps. Suddenly, it rains.
The Robloxians make it to the campsite, where they take refuge until the rain stops. Once the rain stops, players must use an axe to knock down trees and collect logs in order to make a campfire and keep warm. A sudden zap of lightning preludes a thunderstorm, and the Robloxians take refuge again. Later, the thunderstorm dissipates. In the night, a demonic monster-like wolf with horns will appear and the Robloxians must attack the demon with axes and avoid becoming the demon's next dinner. Once it is morning, Robloxians must continue on following the path to find Sarah and get back to the daycare. However, the path bifurcates at this point. They can either take the bridge, which looks it could collapse any time, or take the alternative pathway home.
The Robloxians then use the alternative pathway and enter a cave with a platform held by chains and suspended above lava in the center of the cave. The monster will appear standing on that platform. Robloxians then learn about what the monster had been working on — a sort of machine that had turned Roblox miserable and grey, with accomplices of him terrorizing locals. In order to restore Roblox, Robloxians must defeat the monster using a sword that is provided inside the cave to fight back. Robloxians must fend off two minions, avoid falling rocks and the monster’s powers, and rising lava. Eventually, the Robloxians use their swords to break the chains in order to weaken the platform and make the monster fall into the pit of lava below the monster. The monster then falls, and then rises up with streaks of red and green light pouring from his body, signifying his death as he disintegrates. Roblox suddenly is restored by this. Robloxians then return back to the daycare where they reunite with Sarah, who appears healthy at first. Sarah invites players inside so she can share her experience during the time she had disappeared. However, the Robloxians are not sure if Sarah is truly healthy, and the film concludes by focusing on one part of Sarah's body that appears to have been caused by the monster's apparent hostage on her.
Deleted Scene
Daycare 2 is released with a deleted scene, of which the synopsis goes like this:
The Robloxians will begin to cross the bridge until they reach the middle. Bubbles begin to surface in the raging river. Eventually, a giant version of the scary monster will rise from the raging river, appearing to be incredibly aggressive. The monster blows the bridge away, causing every Robloxian to fall into the raging river, which leads to a secret base. Sarah can be found trapped inside of a tube. The monster then says that he has intentions of Robloxian dominance. In the end, he turns Sarah into his slave. Robloxians then are guided by the enslaved Sarah into the tube, where they become slaves of the monster.
