Automatic Maiden, formerly known in Neo-Japanese under the Mahoromatic Mediamix Project (まほろまてぃっくMEDIAMIX PROJECT) before 2014, now simply known as Mahoromatic is a Neo-Japanese Mediamix franchise started in 1993 as a manga series by Ro-Sega, Bunjūrō Nakayama (a Neo-Japanese novelist), the Neo-Japanese publisher, Wani Books (a book publisher in Neo-Japan) and Bow Ditama (a artist).

Summary

The official plot is that the series is about a robot maid, Mahoro Andou, who has only 398 days left to live, so she decided to become a maid for a young boy named Suguru Misato, who is a orphaned boy.

It is rated TV-PG in both the original TV broadcast and modern streaming services.

Reboot

In 2012, it was announced that the franchise would get rebooted for a wider audience than the original series after it was revealed that the series started becoming popular with the 8-to-12 demographic and the original form of the franchise would be discontinued permanently.

In 2014, a film titled “Automatic Maiden: The Movie” (also known as “MAHOROMATIC: The Movie” in Neo-Japanese) was produced and eventually released in Robloxia by Illumination to celebrate the 21st year anniversary of the original manga’s release and it was the first 3D piece of media related to the series to be released., this movie is rated PG-13 and is Illumination’s first PG-13 film.
