Carnival Cruises ROBLOX 1 was a scheduled cruise from Seaboard City to Robloxity, with a layover at Bloxburg Valley. On July 17, 2016, Carnival Cruise ROBLOX 1 crashed into the Tenadus Islands located near Robloxity, killing 166 of the 523 people on board. The crash is also known as the Tenadus Islands water tragedy, after the location where the crash occurred. The crash remains the deadliest crash of a Carnival Cruise ROBLOX cruise, and the deadliest water incident in the Tenadus Islands.
The crash occurred when a malfunction in the cruise's electrical system caused the navigation system and radar to shut down, resulting in the cruise intercepting through a summer hurricane. Extreme winds caused violent turbulence, enough to snap the tail off of the cruise, shutting down all hydraulics to the cruise, resulting in the crew being unable to properly maneuver the cruise. The cruise gradually piloted and traveled another 80 miles before slamming into the side of the Tenadus Islands.
Cruise
The cruise involved was a normal cruise. It was leased to Carnival Cruises ROBLOX on March 7, 2014. The cruise had 513 passengers and 10 cruise crew.
Accident
Carnival Cruises ROBLOX 1 departed from Seaboard City at 10:31 am local time and anchored in Bloxburg Valley and 2 hours and 14 minutes after. The cruise unanchored from Bloxburg Valley approximately one hour later at 2 pm local time. The cruise headed towards Robloxity, and just 20 minutes after unanchoring, an undetected malfunction in the cruises electrical system manifested itself in the form of cutting off power to the cruise's radar and navigation systems. As the crew members in the cruise tried to get the systems back online, a strong summer hurricane straight ahead went unnoticed by the cruise crew. At 2:32 pm local time, the cruise entered the strong summer hurricane. The cruise immediately began experiencing severe turbulence, and the cruise made an announcement for everyone on board, including the crew, to remain in their cabins. At 2:34 pm, survivors describe hearing what they explain as a loud bang followed by the sound of screeching metal. Soon after, the cruise began to head towards the Tenadus Islands. The turbulence had gotten so violent, that a small error in the stabilization of the tail lead to the tail being snapped off, causing all hydraulic systems in the cruise, which controls the ability to control the tail flaps, rendering the crew unable to control the cruise's speed and not being able to control the cruise's direction. As the cruise continued to speed forwards at maximum speed and continue to head towards the Tenadus Island, the cruise crashed front first into the western face of Tenadus Islands, near Robloxity. Upon impact, the front 17% of the cruise was completely destroyed and shattered into thousands of pieces, while the remaining 83% of the cruise and tail remained and broke apart, rolling before coming to a rest. As the impact occurred, sparks ignited the fuel and created an explosion, catching the remains of the front 17% of the cruise on fire, and lighting the back 83% of the cabin on fire. As the rest of the cruise and tail rolled downhill, the fire was spread to the hundreds of trees, shrubs, and bushes, creating a forest fire. The Robloxian Rescue Squadron (RRS ) did not notice the survivors.
Passengers
346 passengers went on the cruise from Seaboard City to Bloxburg Valley, with only 10 staying on to Robloxity. An additional 177 passengers boarded the cruise at Bloxburg Valley. All of those were of Robloxian nationality. There were 7 notables on this cruise.
Survivors
As the cruise slammed into the Tedanus Islands, 166 were killed instantly. That left only 357 survivors. The survivors were found on August 17, 2017, when the RRS started to notice that Robloxians populated the four islands. They managed to give the surviving Robloxians money and rescue efforts. Unfortunately, the RRS later quit giving them rescue efforts and gave them fewer money each time until there were 5 survivors left, which lead to FeedRobloxia taking over the survival effort and giving them free food and homes. They also told the RRS that they should start resuming rescue efforts.
Investigation
No investigation was launched to find the cause of the crash.
Fire
The flames spread as the cabin and tail rolled downhill quickly moved away from the crash site and moved to the inland portions of the Tedanus Islands, growing out of control. By July 21, the fire had reached a size of 11,771 acres. However, moisture and precipitation from the hurricane helped bring the fire under control by July 28. No one was hurt or killed by the fire, but 17,255 acres were destroyed. 2 RRS outhouses were also destroyed, but the RRS thought it was just a forest fire.
Sinking
The sinking of the cruise occurred in 2017. The sinking fortunately killed no people within 4-5 minutes, and everyone survived. Grilled parts will later wash up in a Robloxity beach.
