Carl Eser, also known as The Holem Boatman, is a Slender mythological figure. Carl is said to be a Bloxian sailor who defected to the slender side during the Slender War of Independence. Upon receiving word that a group of rebels were stuck on an island in a lake near the city of Holem, it is said he hijacked a nearby warship and began sailing to the island. However, the boat fell apart in the middle of the lake, resulting in him paddling over the island on a log from the ship, getting stranded on the island, and staying there for years, even after the war ended.
