Plot
Scene 1:
The first scene of the movie takes place at the movie's main setting, Specky Woods. Residents of Roblox get their survival gear in this scenario. A Robloxian decides to look at a poster that was discovered nailed to a tree and that tells the tale of a family of five that went camping in the same woods they are right now. One person went missing and four were found dead; Zach Nolan, the killer, was apprehended and pleaded guilty. The series is set up in this particular tale.
Before the Monster rises over the campfire and forces all Robloxians to depart after nightfall, everyone in Robloxi enjoys the campfire. The Robloxians eventually find refuge after the Monster vanishes and it starts to rain. Afterwards, an animal's cries can be heard. Afterwards, there is a great crack of thunder and a glimpse of the Monster. The movie then cuts to the next scene shortly after that. As the Roblox players arrive back at the campsite, they discover that one of the tents has fallen. Park authorities put up bear traps all around the forest after discovering a deer carcass that had been brutally attacked. They thought the assailant was a bear. The Robloxians are then discussed.
The Robloxians retire to the cave for the night due to the strong storm and the extra tent not being large enough for everyone, only to discover later that they had neglected to carry food supplies with them.A Robloxian is later tasked with locating the basket (which is back at camp), with the present danger of the rain and the bear trap. While the Robloxian is eating sandwiches after their return, it is revealed that one of the Robloxians was poisoned. A Robloxian uses a medkit on the poisoned Robloxian.
The cave's entrance collapses, trapping every Robloxian inside. The group finds an alternate route out of the cave and later slide down a slide which does not hold spikes at the end, evade a flood through an obstacle course, and exit a maze while being pursued by a bear. Unfortunately, one Robloxian throws a lucky coin into the well and later sits in a corner of the shack. The Monster's face suddenly appears on the back of the Robloxian's head and scares the Robloxian to death.
The Robloxians are safely back at the campsite and are informed that a rescue team is on their way. A black leg is found stuck in a bear trap, followed with a trail of blood leading to the spare tent, where the words "I'M STILL ALIVE" are written in blood.
One of the Robloxians is kidnapped and the players must search for them. When the camper is untied from the tree, rain begins to fall, and the Robloxians must return to the tent. Black mist soon starts to consume the campgrounds, forcing the Robloxians up a rock pillar in safety. The Monster suddenly appears on the opposite pillar, who creates a bridge between them to cross. As he slowly limps across, day breaks. He then collapses. A Robloxian then believes The Monster is culpable for the villainous actions. The Monster explains how he never had any intentions to poison Robloxians and was only attacking to protect the Robloxians from a murderer, having gone insane after the events of Zach Nolan's attack and his drive to prevent it from happening again.
Later, a Robloxian's backpack with his name on it is inspected by the police to find out that it contained a bottle of rat poison. The police then arrest the Robloxian for poisoning a Robloxian. The Robloxian resists the handcuffing and lunges a knife at the police, before lunging a knife at the "fourth wall", fading the film to black while screams can be heard.
Fun Facts:
Camping inspired numerous films, often following the movie with a very similar format. Notable examples include High School (2007), Field Trip (1997), and Overnight (2017).
The original version of Camping had a song in Scenes 1,3,5,6. On 2009, a Robloxian found out that the song sounded similar to "Let's Meet in the Mysterious Forest" (the Dimble Woods theme) from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. On March 22, 2022, the film was temporarily banned from theaters for including a song that is copyrighted in Earth. The song was replaced with a copyright-free song, and the film was unbanned shortly after.
A large, handsome and muscular hippopotamus can be found sitting in the lake as an Easter egg. The same large, handsome and muscular hippopotamus can be seen in Madagasblox: Escape 2 BloxAfrica.
Prior to the release of Camping 2, a countdown timer was placed in the title screen. When the timer reached zero, fireworks went off in the title screen, celebrating the release of the film's sequel.
In a post-credits scene, the Robloxian, who was initially presumed dead and chose to throw a lucky coin in the well, is later revealed to have survived. He reveals himself to be the Son and the sole survivor of Zach Nolan's attack.
Surprisingly, Camping predicted the Camping missing children incident which occurred in 1997.
