Inspirations for stories
According to the director, some of the episode’s stories were based off unreleased Roblox group toys.
However, the only one to be based off an already existing story/manga was Roblox Scala, which was a manga released on May 8, 1998. However, in this episode, the inspiration did not come from the original manga; instead, it came from the recreation from the early 2000s; which rebranded some characters. The character of Doremi Lee (or referred to as Saki) is in this episode, but only in Tim’s story.
Concept art
There exists concept art for the episode, as well as Saki’s TV debut after 24 years. The art depicted Saki having red hair, dark blue eyes, and casual clothes. This was changed to resemble her anime self; this was due to the fact that the test audience that watched the test screening version of the episode were offended by Saki’s Design; one of them even said on “I prefer her anime design better than this bullshit.”
