The Bounty Bay Airport, commonly called the Airport by locals, is one of the main locations in Jailbreak County. Opened during the passage of the County Expansion Act, it is where cargo planes and jets, as well as other aerial vehicles, land and take off.
Structure-wise, the Bounty Bay Airport consists of an ATC Tower, a terminal, a cargo loading area, and two runways. It also has two hangars. The entire area is mostly surrounded by tall mountains and barbed-wire fences. Additionally, the Bounty Bay Airport also has firetrucks.
The airport's main purpose is to be a place where cargo planes land. Due to this, it is a victim of many heists that journey around the county. Despite having many popular features located in this area, however, the Bounty Bay Airport receives little traffic, most likely due to being located in a remote area.
The airport's second purpose is to serve private jet flights from Bounty Bay to Crater City.
Locations
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 is the only terminal of the Bounty Bay Airport where most Robloxians can search around. There is a model jet on a stand outside the front of the Bounty Bay Airport.
ATC Tower
Located to the right of the main building, the ATC Tower is a one-floored building containing multiple desks and computers.
Hangars
Located between the Terminal Building and ATC Tower, the Hangars are where aerial vehicles are parked and customized. Unlike other customization services in Jailbreak County, the customization service does not require a Premium Garage Permit.
Runways
The Runways of the airport are two long roads in the middle of the airport. Cargo planes land and take off on the first runway, while the other runway is for private jets. Near the runway, there is a display depicting a stack of cargo crates that indicate when the next cargo plane is about to arrive. The more crates there are, the sooner a cargo plane will arrive. Police can also use the walkie-talkie located underneath the display to call the arriving cargo plane. However, by law, they can only call the plane when there are six cargo crates depicted on the display.
List of Renovations:
The Bounty Bay Airport has seen numerous renovations, more so than any other location:
- First Renovation:
- The ATC Tower added more tables, chairs, computers, and documents. One renovator left his pistol on the table.
- Minor renovations to the runway were made, and the three boarding bridges at the side of the terminal building were demolished to make room for the upcoming planes.
- Second Renovation:
- Another renovator left his jetpack on the top of the ATC Tower.
- Third Renovation:
- Bounty Bay Airport opened the airport up to other aerial vehicles.
- Fourth Renovation:
- The terminal now has a front desk, a security checkpoint with an x-ray machine, and a conveyor.
- Two of the three boarding bridges connected to Terminal 1, which were previously demolished, were rebuilt.
- Fifth Renovation:
- One of the runways was extended.
- Hangars of the aircraft now allow Robloxians to customize their aircraft without a Premium Garage Permit.
- Sixth Renovation:
- The airport is now open to cargo planes.
- On the end of the runway nearest to the terminal building, a cargo crate loading area was constructed. A display was added, depicting several cargo crates. A small radio was left by the renovator.
- In a controversial revamp that later attracted heists to the airport, the boarding bridges on Terminal 1 were made shorter.
- A third hangar was constructed.
- Seventh Renovation:
- A gate which cars can pass though was added. This gate was similar to the gate that opens at the prison carpark. This was because the bank truck now stops at the airport
- Eighth Renovation:
- A security camera was placed on a hangar of the airport. Robloxians noticed it and petitioned the owner of the airport to rename the airport to Bounty Bay Airport after seeing that the security camera was labeled with Bounty Bay Airport. The petition won.
- Ninth Renovation:
- The entire airport was renovated.
- Tenth Renovation:
- Private jets can now go to the runway as a new runway had been constructed. The first private jet service took Robloxians from Bounty Bay to Crater City.
Fun Facts:
- The Bounty Bay Airport only existed in government documentation in the summer of 2019.
- Before the airport allowed them to customize their aircraft without a permit, Robloxians landed their aerial vehicles on the helipad at the Rising City Garage. Some Robloxians broke the doors of the hangar, leading to the hangar doors having to be reinstalled constantly.
- One of the hangar's unintended uses is parking and customization of land vehicles.
- The airport has the same color scheme as the county's police station.
- This is the only airport with two runways. The military base airport has one.
- Prior to April 2, 2022, Robloxians needed a keycard to enter the airport's ATC tower. There is a hole on the ATC roof that has been exploited by Robloxians without a keycard but with a jetpack to get in.
- On July 14th, 2019, several sections were remodeled as part of the Visitors & Ship Update.
- The fifth renovation made the only runway of the airport at that time longer because of frequent accidents at the airport during landing and takeoff.
- When the Bounty Bridge was constructed, the airport's runway was shortened and the jetpack on the ATC tower was returned to its proper owner.
- A Jailbreak Bloxtuber served as the county executive's inspiration to make the new airport. However, the Bloxtuber does not intend it to be used this way.
