Botanical Gardens is a future subway station on Line B of the Robloxity Metro. It is located in SoDo Robloxity, located at Garden Avenue within the botanical gardens. It has two parallel side platforms. According to the RTC Website, the station building is located at 2019 Garden Avenue, which is the site of the future mezzanine building. The station, along with the rest of the metro network is managed by the Robloxity Transit Council (RTC).
Architecture and construction
The station broke ground upon the announcement of Line B in 2021 along with the rest of the revival of the metro project. It is on the first phase of the project. On October 26th, 2021, the South Downtown Community Center was officially demolished after being closed for over a month; in November, it moved to another location a block down. Later on October 29th, the foundation was destroyed, and on November 6th, excavation begun, with pile driving and soil removal happening the next week. On January 7th, it was announced that the mezzanine had been excavated. A section of park that belonged to the former community center was also excavated for the station box, and the excavation operations were completed on May 20th. (More coming soon)
