For other uses, see Bloxy (disambiguation). The Bloxy Awards, shortened to and simply as the Bloxys, formerly the Robloxia Film Festival and Hall of Fame, is an annual event held by the government each year, typically in the the months of February and March, though there are some exceptions. It is hosted in various theaters, mostly in Bloxburg, Robloxia. It aims to recognize the artistic, creative, and social abilities of its citizens, being the mayors, creators, Bloxtubers, and areas. It is where the Robloxians honor the best in each category. Near the end of each year, citizens can send in their vote for each category, where (for most categories) five final nominees are picked at a later date to finalize the voting process. Robloxians can collect collectibles after the show. The results are then streamed on various social media throughout the years.

The first Bloxy Awards was the 1939 Bloxys (1st Bloxy Awards) shown during the 1939 BLOXcon event. Unlike future editions of the Bloxys, the 1939 and 2013 Bloxys had winners revealed at different times and locations, but ever since then, the time was consistent: 10 AM Telamon Time.

In 2013, the Bloxys had a revamp that was criticized heavily (read more on Criticism).

Criticism

The Bloxys has been largely criticized since its major revamp in 2013 to be a contest weighted heavily on the population of the town instead of showcasing mayors and their town they are the mayor of. A day after The Bloxys, petitions calling for an unbiased re-contest often spring up.
