Bloxtendo Directs are a series of poorly made presentations usually created using either Roggle Slides or Microblox Powerpoint, they are usually hosted by Bloxtendo (hence the name), and they have been around since 2011.
These directs are usually either 1 hour or (sometimes) 2-9 hours long.
History
Bloxtendo Directs were first conceptualized in 2010, because Bloxtendo did not want to go to E3 anymore and they thought it was useless anyway. The Robloxians at Bloxtendo decided to make their own E3-like event because they were bored and they wanted to start a presentation.
The first Bloxtendo Direct was held in 2011, when they announced the Rii U. The announcement considered to be a entire mess, mainly because of how poorly Bloxtendo explained the Rii U, which lead to some Robloxians thinking that the Rii U was a accessory for the regular Rii. It is presumed this is why the Rii U flopped.
On BloxTube
There are parodies of Bloxtendo Directs on BloxTube. Some of these videos are usually made with the Robloxians in the video speaking Spanish with a software called "Bloxquendo", which is a text-to-speech software made in 2001.
There are some Robloxians in Robloxia who make memes or hoaxes based upon it. One such example of a fake Bloxtendo Direct that somehow caused the entire Roternet to believe it was real was the Bloxtendo Direct where Bloxtendo introduced the Switch U. So many Robloxians believed it that eventually, a fan asked if the Bloxtendo Switch U was real to Nagisa Furukawa, who said that she did not know what it was, causing the Bloxtendo Direct to be massively disliked. It is presumably taken down for misinformation, or the uploader pinned a comment explaining that it is fake.
Infamy
Since its inception, Bloxtendo Directs have been very infamous because of how poorly made they are. The most infamous Bloxtendo direct is the August Bloxtendo Direct of 2022, where it basically crashed the Roggle Slides website because there were 300,000 to a million Robloxians who viewed the presentation of the Direct. It got so bad that Bloxtendo stopped using Roggle Slides for a short period between 2022 and 2024, because they feared something like that would happen again. Unfortunately, rather than switching to a much better video software, they switched to Microblox PowerPoint.
Impact
It is actually very easy to make a fake Bloxtendo Direct, as all a Robloxian has do is open either Roggle Slides or Microblox Powerpoint and make the most believable hoax., it's gotten so big that a fictional Bloxtendo-themed character named "Shigeru Miyamoto" is used in most of these fake directs, though whenever he is used they usually give him a text-to-speech voice for some reason.
Trivia
- These directs are always low effort, which is funny, since Bloxtendo is a million dollar company (and this adds up to the possible theory that Bloxtendo uses most of their money on hiring lawyers.)
