Bloxport is the second largest city in Western Robloxia, after ROBLOX City, which is 215 miles (334 km or 1.24 mega-studs) to the north, with 5.7 million Robloxians living here. Bloxport is the main city in Golden Bay County and is sometimes referred to as The City On The Golden Bay, due to the warm climate and the picturesque setting.
Bloxport was founded as a seaport by colonists from the much larger city of ROBLOX City in the 18th century. Bloxport's original purpose was to connect and maintain trade between West and East ROBLOXia, but eventually settlers became attracted to the pleasant climate the city offers and begun to move there. Over the next two hundred years, Bloxport grew from a small colony into a large city, which eventually managed to rival ROBLOX City's size in 1926, before being overtaken again by ROBLOX City. However, the city continued to flourish and develop, and hotels and a large international airport were built in the city, attracting tourists from all over the world, including several parts of West ROBLOXia.
Bloxport lies directly on the coast of Western ROBLOXia, on the southern fringe of the ROBLOXian Capital District. Due to its location, Bloxport has a very oceanic climate, just like most, if not all of the cities in this part of West ROBLOXia. During summer, Bloxport's temperature is very mild and in winter, it can get quite cold, although it rarely gets far below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bloxport is also one of the main cities along the West ROBLOXian Fault, which surrounds the landmass, however, the fault line is very inactive and the last time it ruptured was in 1946, when the majority of the downtown area, along with Bloxport Beach, was split apart from the rest of the city. Eventually, the destroyed part of the city was rebuilt and a quake as big as that one has never struck since, although there have been tremors and very small earthquakes around the city, often reaching a magnitude of 5.6. However, it is VERY unlikely that an earthquake that size would strike Bloxport or any other coastal city for a long time.
Bloxport is connected to the rest of Western Robloxia by a system of highways, which extend from the city to other cities in Western Robloxia. There is also an international airport, Golden Bay International Airport, which has flights to several major destinations across the ROBLOX planet and there is a train station as well.
