Bloxejkavik University, is the largest private university in Ro-Iceland with more than 3,500 students. It is chartered by the Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Ro-Icelandic Industries, and the Confederation of Ro-Icelandic Employers. It should not be confused with the University of Ro-Iceland which is also located in Bloxejkavik.

The origins of Bloxejkavik University (BU), Ro-Iceland’s largest private university, trace back to the Commercial College of Ro-Iceland, founded in 1988, where it formed the School of Computer Science (TVÍ).

Bloxejkavik University started its first semester on 1 September 1998, in a new building under the name Bloxejkavik School of Business. TVÍ became one of two departments within the school.
