History

The Bleatale Times was founded in 1908 by Mark Richards, a journalist and publisher who saw the need for a regional newspaper in the west of North Bloxifornia. At the time, Bleatale was a growing large town, but it lacked certain documents and news reports. The early editions of the newspaper focused mainly on regional affairs, covering topics such as town council meetings, business developments, and social events. It was printed in a small press office in downtown Bleatale, and it quickly gained popularity among residents who wanted reliable reporting. By the 1920s, it had expanded its coverage to include investigative journalism, exposing local corruption cases and revealing infrastructure improvements, gradually becoming the most read newspaper in the region.

During the mid-20th century, the Bleatale Times underwent significant changes, both in its ownership and its journalism. In 1944, after Mark Richards' passing, the newspaper was taken over by his son, John Richards, who modernized its operations and introduced better reporting. Under his leadership, the newspaper played an important role in documenting major historical events, including the industrialization of the region, the expansion of Bleatale’s transportation network, and special meetings among the council. By 1973, the Bleatale Times introduced a new logo, by Paul Richards, which remains in use today. In 2003, The Bleatale Times created its own platform online.
