Blackhawk is one of the 19 official neighborhoods of Brookhaven. It is the city’s fourth largest neighborhood by area and has existed since the 1910s. In 2025, the population was 979.
Geography
The neighborhood is bounded by Brookhaven Avenue to the south, Dogwood Street to the west, Palm Road to the east and northeast, and Mount Haven Avenue to the north. The area is characterized by gently sloping hills, and medium density. The area is also home to Brookhaven’s tallest building, Mountain Towers I and II, which are both 14 stories tall.
