Billy the Stickman, simply known as Billy is a fictional character (item).
Billy was first made available to Robloxians on October 10th, 2022, as a shoulder accessory that originally, cost around R$20 to be purchased. Billy was made as an adaptation to creator, Laidbackdev's original shoulder accessory, Bob. Bob did incredibly well so he decided to make a second one. On August 17th, 2023, Morgan Bennett, also known as mPhase created Billy as a character bundle. It originally cost around R$1000 But due to its success, it was quickly lowered to being free. as a result, he quickly rose to become one of the year's most well-known items and is currently the most well-known avatar and stickman in both the 21st century and in the United States of Robloxia. Morgan Bennett, popularly known online as mPhase, developed and was purported to have stolen Billy with the character development beginning in July 2023.
Less than 24 hours after the characters second debut, Billy was taken out of avatar stores. Robloxians peacefully rioted for at least two days to get it back on avatar stores. Billy was then resold as free on August 21, 2023, two days later, in response to the peaceful assemblages of protest on the avatar stores. When Laidbackdev later claimed that mPhase had stolen Billy, he quickly changed the description of his original item to say, "The Original." , and thus, the speculation began.
As of December 30, 2025, despite considerable purported speculation originating from Laidbackdev and existing that argues that mPhase stole Billy and his character development, the exact robloxian who stole Billy and his character development still remains the greatest enigma in the history of fictional robloxians and original creations (OCs).
