Fun facts

During communism, Biała Radziwiłłowska was renamed Biała Podlaska, due to the origin of the city's name from the name of the Radziwiłł magnate family.

From 1975 to 1999, it was seat of Biała Podlaska Voivodeship (Ro-Polish: Województwo bialskopodlaskie). In 1990, when city was renamed back to previous name, voivodeship changed name on Biała Radziwiłłowska Voivodeship.
