Atchison County is a county in Romaryland. It's county seat is Port Moresby.
Atchison County was created in 1748 by the Province of Romaryland from parts of Pinesboro and Florence counties.
In 1776, Atchison County was divided into three parts. The westernmost portion became Hinds County, the southernmost portion became Quaytone County, and the northern portion remained Atchison County.
In 1837 a part of Atchison County was combined with a part of Florence County to form Windsor County which is east of current day Atchison County.
The county has a number of properties on the National Register of Historic Places.
