Fun Facts:

Angry Blox is one of the most iconic arcade and mobile games, spawning numerous sequels, spinoffs, toys, movies, and animated shows.

In Angry Blox, the player controls a flock of multi-colored blocks that are attempting to retrieve their blocks, which have been stolen by a group of hungry green blocks.

After the events of Angry Blox, Chef Pig steals the blocks and puts them in an airship, leaving Red to gather the rest of the flock pursuing him and the rest of the blocks.

History

Angry Blox was inspired by an ancient Ro-Greek game where Ro-Spartans threw rocks on catapults at clay structures with clay shaped pigs, which were made to represent enemies. In 1976, the 2 founders of Bloxvio Entertainment were on a hike in the Peloponnox Peninsula when they found a scroll for this game, which was called “εκτόξευση πουλιού”, which when translated means “Bird Launch”. Bird Launch was originally meant for practice for Ro-Spartan soldiers.

The two hikers later got the idea to remaster this game to modern audiences by making an arcade game just like the ancient military practice. Production on Angry Blox began in 1977 when they both drew an orange bird flying towards a green pig (which both inspired Ro-Bubbles and the Pigs). During the duration of development between 1977-1979, there have been more birds (and less birds) added/removed from the game, and when the game came out on April 7th, 1979, it was a hit with Robloxians who love throwing stuff.
