Aloʻhi (1778-1845) was a chief of Niae and Aila islands, who united Oceania and became the first king (Mare) of Oceania in 1832. He founded the Kumala dynasty.
Life
Legends say that Aloʻhi was born on Maʻuga Fanua (Mountain of Roblox), the highest mountain in Oceania. Before his birth, Telamon was said to have prophesied to his mother that she would give birth to the king of Oceania. Some legends say that Telamon was Alohi's father.
At the age of 40, he became chief of Niae, and a few years later, he took over Aila, where his family originated from. With the help of his son Fuātama, he took over Cactus Island. In 1829, the other islands, except Honolaʻue, recognized his rule. Alohi conquered it in 1832 and assumed the title of king (Mare), creating Oceania. In 1837, he welcomed the Bloxians, who recorded the history of his conquests. He died in 1845 after climbing Maʻuga Tea (White Mountain).
