History

The Akaneeka language probably originated in the 10th century through a fusion of the Kohola dialect of Ancient Telamonian and an unknown Polybloxian speech, probably from the Tamabu Islands. Over time, the language began to evolve, becoming increasingly different from Telamonian. When the Bloxians occupied Hilokila and Tamabu Islands, the language was in danger of extinction there due to Bloxianization. In the 19th century, after several uprisings, the language began to be used by conspirators. Early in the 20th century, the Sea Hoes movement spread the Akaneeka language to other islands in the Telamon Ocean. After independence, the language was revived. Today, of the 4,500,000 speakers of the language, 100,000 live on Hilokila, 250,000 live on Tamabu Islands, and the remaining 4,150,000 live on Kohola.
