Terminal 3 is a train station located at Stepford Airport Terminal 3. It is built into a slope meaning most of it is below ground but parts of the platforms extend outside. It is served by AirLink services during operating hours and shuttle buses outside of operating hours. It opened along with the terminal 3 expansion in 2018. Before then, buses took passengers to Airport Terminal 2 station. Because of the layout of the station, AirLink Shuttle trains must reverse direction here to continue on to Airport Terminal 2.
History
The station’s construction began when Terminal 3 expanded, in 2017. The construction was finished in 2018, using a cut-and-cover technique. In March 2025, it became the fifth station in the Stepford County Railway system to use a bicycle escalator, along with all other airport stations. If the pilot proves successful, they will be phased in to all stations in need of them.
Station Layout
The station has three platforms, two island platform, and one bay platform. (More information here). The platform level is also home to the fare gates, and ticket machines are located in the street level. Ramps, stairs and escalators connect the platform level to the transept level which spans vertically over the tracks and has horizontal footbridges connecting it to the exits. The station is fully step-free.
