Adam Walden Davidson (February 23, 1809 - July 27, 1896) was a Robloxian explorer. He was well known for founding the city, Davidson in 1837, which later became the capital of its state, Wisconsin. The city now has a population of more than 200 thousand and Adam had played an important role during the early settlements in Wisconsin, during the 19th century.

Early Life and Education

Adam Walden Davidson was born on February 13, 1809, in a small village at Rosylvania, which was located in the near the borders of its state and Wisconsin. He was the third son of George Davidson and Annie Davidson. From a young age, Adam was highly interested in exploration and often roamed and wandered around the countryside, however was not allowed to pass by certain hills. This grew Adam's curiosity and builded up on his interest of exploration. By the age of 12, he had already shown a huge interest of geography, history and navigation.

Life and Career

After graduating in 1829, Adam Davidson went on many expeditions around places of Wisconsin for settlements, which were empty and had no civilization during those times. In 1835, Davidson joined a team of explorers tasked with mapping various places of the Southern Wisconsin and the places were filled with mountains. During this expedition, Davidson caught sight of a huge area surrounded by hills which would indeed be a great thing for settlement.

In 1837, Davidson later returned to the valley and had made a small settlement. This settlement quickly grew because of the fertile land and its rich mineral sources in places, it was a great place for settlement. The place was named after him, so the city was named to "Davidson".

Death and Legacy

Davidson died on July 27, 1896 because of lung cancer which he had been diagnosed with three years earlier. The city significantly remembers Adam Davidson and there is also a huge statue that had been put up in 1898 which became a famous tourist attraction.
