On December 2cd, 2025, at 11:34 PM, a semi-truck was driving southbound on the overpass of Maple Boulevard, when the truck struck a sudden patch of ice, losing control, and jack-knifing into the number 1 lane, smashing a car between the divider barrier and the grille of the semi.
Multiple vehicles also hit the patch of ice and were unable to slow down, striking the trailer of the semi.

A still-unidentified source sparked, and lit the gasoline, causing a major fire.
