The 2024 Brookhaven Peak Eruption, also known as the 2024 Eruption of Brookhaven Peak (internally known as the 2024 Robloxiapedia Reboot, or sometimes called Scorpio8783's Restoration), was the worst volcanic eruption in the history of Robloxia and the worst supervolcanic eruption anytime in the last 48.15 million years. It was rated as a VEI 8. The eruption was responsible for approximately 5.27 billion deaths, approximately 10.847 billion injuries, and over R$11.238 quintillion in damages, making it the costliest volcanic eruption on record at the time of the event actually occurring. A swathe of Robloxia was literally burned to a crisp during the eruption, leading to Robloxia having to be temporarily abandoned until the clearing of debris could be undertaken. Fortunately, the clearing of the debris was able to be undertaken by United Roblox Countries. However, the aftermath of the eruption would result in Robloxia entering an interglacial period that lasted relatively short compared to other interglacial periods in Roblox's past from July 2024 to January 2029.
Beginning to End
The eruption began on June 16 following the inelastic collision of a mid-range ballistic missile (MRBM) with the pointy peak of the Brookhaven Peak, causing an MRBM-like explosion and opening a single massive vent to the surface. Fortunately, there were no mountain climbers at the mountain at that time, but unfortunately, it turned Brookhaven Peak into an active volcano, awakening it from its rumored dormancy. Immediately, experts at the Robloxian Geological Survey (RGS) were calling it a super volcano or supervolcano) as everything surrounding the mountain became molten or gaseous. Molten magma and other molten stuff vented upwards to the single massive vent to the surface, causing the first eruption of the volcano since 2022. Furthermore, the supervolcanic eruption flattened the area approximately less than the size of Bloxas centered at the pointy peak. A caldera formation was documented, and an ash cloud started to extend from the supervolcano, extending as far as the antipode of the Brookhaven Peak. A sonic boom formed which damaged what structures remained after, up to 6.98 meters from the volcano. Furthermore, Robloxians up to 1,461 kilometers from the volcano were killed due to the exsanguination of their ears. Survivors documented that their ears were sufficiently raped. Experts predicted that the eruption was 224.55 decibels loud at the ground zero of the eruption scene. The eruption is regarded as being the best documented supervolcanic eruption in Robloxian history, and the loudest Pelean-Plinian eruption documented Roblox-wide. Cities around Roblox were later found to have been buried under ash and mud from the eruption, which initially was impossible to remove from the area. The eruption ended on June 17, 2024.
Altogether, 5.27 billion Robloxians were killed by the eruption, which was 93.94% of Robloxia's population at this time. Madison Megalopolis reported 384 million deaths, or 96% of their megalopolis population as their megalopolis was flattened and the fact the megalopolis shelter could only fit 16 million Robloxians.
Caldera Forms
A caldera formation on June 17, 2024, created a ginormous shockwave outward which would an unprecedented gargantuan land tsunami caused by the displacement of a large volume of land, generally in an large piece of land. After the caldera formation, Brookhaven Peak would turn into a mountain that is only 20,299 feet tall from an initial height of 26,926.5 feet, turning into from the tallest mountain in Robloxia to the second tallest mountain in Robloxia, only to Mount Blox II. The land tsunami was estimated to have only injured 38.13 million Robloxians, with no deaths, but caused an additional R$81.32 quadrillion damage. On June 18, 2024, the land tsunami attenuated and weakened as the pressure amplitude of the tsunami appeared to decrease, and on June 19, 2024, the land tsunami was imperceptible to the nervous system of a normal Robloxian not under the influence of caffeine, alcohol, or any other stimulant.
Aftermath
Rebuilding in the areas affected by the eruption initially was estimated to take 500 years following the devastation left behind by the eruption. However, R$11.238 quintillion was needed to repair the eruption within a reasonable timeframe. The ash is estimated to be naturally decomposed in 243 years. This reduced the amount of food and money available in Robloxia. Robloxia had to import food and money from other countries if it wanted to continue living.
Another aftermath of the eruption would result in Robloxia entering an interglacial period that lasted relatively short from July 2024 to January 2029. This became known as the Robloxian Ice Age, though effects of it begun to materialize 3.5 years earlier, in early January 2021.
