The 2023 Livetopia Earthquake, was an 8.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Livetopia County, on April 14, 2023 at 6:09:23 Telamon Sea Time. It was not powerful to trigger tsunamis, or even caused a volcanic eruption. This led to the deaths of 500-1,000 with thousands more injured, and the damage costed billions of dollars. The quake was even felt as far as Brookhaven. This is the most felt earthquake in 2023 (so far). It was also the costliest and deadliest earthquake (so far) since the 2022 City of Robloxia Earthquake, almost one year prior. It took many Livetopians by surprise because earthquakes are rare on the county.
The serious earthquake has devastated Topia City, causing severe building damage. Some have even collapsed. Even the subway line was severely damaged. The Topia City government has been quick to respond to this disaster, and the city had received more assistance from the Ariel County government and the state government of South Bloxlina.
After the earthquake, the communities in Topia City have been renovated and the Topia City's government placed the reconstruction of the city's residential areas as their top priority. The new community is believed to offer a more convenient and comfortable lifestyle. On May 19, 2023, Livetopia was fully recovered, with new replacements and infrastructural improvements, including a mini canal and a bridge. Many more other improvements have been made to the infrastructure.

At 6:09:23 AM TST, the 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck violently. Its epicenter was located near the Urban South neighborhood, with aftershocks scattered across Livetopia for hours until it stopped at approximately 1:04 PM TST. Since many Livetopians are unprepared for an earthquake, this caused mass hysteria. Evacuation orders were issued in the Dream Islands at 6:14 AM.

This is a message from the Ariel County Sheriff`s Office. Due to the possibility of a tsunami or volcanic eruption being generated due to the recent earthquake in Southern Bloxlina, an Evacuation Order has been issued for Dream Islands. An Evacuation Order means that the tsunami or volcanic eruption is an immediate threat to life. An Evacuation Order is a lawful order to leave now and seek shelter away from the area. Stay away from any airports or other public transits, as they are getting overwhelmed with evacuees. In addition, the area is lawfully closed to public access. An Evacuation Order will likely be the last order given. A shelter location is open in City of Topia. 1 Topia Street, Livetopia, South Bloxlina, Robloxia. Animal Services will assist with sheltering companion animals at the center. Evacuation transportation assistance for those residents with physical limitations will be offered until 7:00 AM. If you require evacuation assistance, please call the Aging and Adult Services hotline at 1-200-0505-HELP or the Disaster Distress Hotline at 1-800-985-5990 before 7:00 AM. Despite the evacuation order issued in Dream Islands, the shaking was not strong enough to trigger tsunamis or major volcanic eruptions. However, the shaking was strong enough to result in post-earthquake disasters.

2023 Livetopia Factory Area Collapse and Fire
This earthquake generated the collapse of the factory area. It also had sparked a fire named the "2023 Livetopia Factory Area Fire", which, as of publishing, has combusted the factory and gas station to the ground.
2023 Collapse of Livetopia Tunnel
The earthquake generated a collapse of the Livetopia Tunnel. This led to the Topia Metro to be placed under repairs, with the Topia Metro once again operating on April 21, 2023.
Post-earthquake recovery:
After seven days, Livetopia is starting to recover.
Recovery
As part of the recovery period, the factory area is closed for repairs. Meanwhile in the what was then called "Urban South", all the homes were demolished, leaving the land transformed into a big field, and is now no longer called Urban South. Roads changed their direction, and homes are removed, leaving thousands homeless. They could still rent an apartment, a cruise room, or go to Dream Islands, which reopened on April 16, but some are unable to afford it. This led to a financial drop in Livetopia.
Financial Assistance
The City of Topia, the Ariel County Government, and even some Robloxian states, including the state government of South Bloxlina, were willing to give out aid to help Livetopia recover from the earthquake. Rebuilding Livetopia took five weeks.
