On April 27th, 2023, the 2023 Farming County Tornado hit Farming County, causing damage that would horrify anyone who saw it. It was an extremely powerful EF5 tornado that is remarkable for the extreme intensity it displayed and holds the honor of having the highest radar indicated hail diameters. The EF5 devastated Hasley, Southern Blockatetown, and Harmonia in Farming County along its path, killing approximately 999 (plus an additional approximately 18 indirectly) and injuring approximately 1,752 while doing approximately 2.16 trillion R$ in damages. It is the deadliest Farming County tornado in history. While it was not destroying a rural community, it mostly wiped away mobile homes in its path.

The Farming County Tornado was part of a much larger outbreak that produced tornadoes across Robloxia, namely the 2023 Great Robloxian Tornado Outbreak.

Meteorological Synopsis

April 27th was an unexpected day for tornadoes.

On the morning of April 27th, the Day 1 Convective Outlook issued by the Robloxia Storm Prediction Center highlighted a High Risk over Central Rohio and Farming County. A sharp dry line curved out of Kionne Republic and Bloxtana and down through the terrain of West Doge. Ahead of the dry line was a troughing axis sweeping into West Rohio accompanied by confluence boundaries from storms the previous day. A rich, moist atmosphere settled in over the central plains later in the morning with a vast spread of high dewpoints by 06:10:32.

By 11:10:32, surface CAPE values began to exceed 5727 joules per kilogram, more than enough for tall thunderstorms with powerful updrafts. At the same time, a 114.5kt speed max in the jet stream was cutting down deep into the Upper Robloxian Midwest.

At 12:09:32, the RSPC issued its outlook which expanded the High Risk north into the Robloxia-Bloxanada border. In Bloxanada, the equivalent of High Risk was expanded north into central Bloxanitoba. This is because the warm front had traveled much further north and much more quickly than originally forecasted. This also saw a further shift north of the slight risk for the Kionne Republic of Bloxtana into the Robloxia-Bloxanada border. In Bloxanada, the equivalent of Slight Risk was expanded north into central Bloxaskatchewan. This is because there was heightened instability.

In Farming County, the sun was shining in the sky as of 12:32:32. No one thought there would be a deadly tornado on the ground in just a few hours.

At 12:40:32, Robloxia Weather Service Farming County launched an unscheduled sounding to get a better read on the environment. Winds at the surface were found to be gusting in from the south/south-southeast at around 28.64 miles per hour (46.09 kilometers per hour), 68.73 miles per hour (110.6 kilometers per hour) from the south-southwest at the 850mb, and 114.5 miles per hour (184.3 kilometers per hour) from the southwest at the 500mb level. Effective helicity values were found in excess of 630 meters squared per second squared. As a result. Thus, at 12:55:32, the RSPC updated the tornado probabilities in Central Rohio and Farming County to 68.73%. At the same time, a Potentially Dangerous Situation (PDS) Tornado Watch was issued for Central Rohio and Farming County for long track, violent tornadoes and significant hail and wind.

At around 13:02:32, the RSPC (Robloxia Storm Prediction Center) warned residents of Farming County of a potential thunderstorm capable of producing heavy rain and damaging winds. Storms were quite unusual in Farming County because it was spring.

The supercell that eventually produced the Farming County EF5 formed with the initial wave of supercells, erupting off of a confluence boundary just north of a rural community at around 13:10:32. Despite a lack of lift due to the dry line being positioned much further west, the extreme buoyancy (approaching 7445 joules per kilogram), converging boundaries (a confluence boundary), and sweeping of an embedded trough axis in the upper levels generated the lift needed to light up a line of discrete supercells ahead of the dry line.

At 13:17:32, a storm system formed in Isle County, south-southwest of Farming County. It was only a minor storm that did little damage; it only toppled some trash cans. At 13:22:32, a severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Isle County, two other counties, and Farming County, where Hasley, Southern Blockatetown, and Harmonia are housed. At 13:27:32, shortly after initiation, the supercell that would go on to produce the EF5 was severe warned for large hail and severe gusts northeast of a rural community in Farming County, west-northwest of another rural community in Farming County. Radar indicated 2-inch hail; however, there were no spotters out in the area to confirm due to a lack of good road networks. The storm continued northeast from there, consistently severe warned as it strengthened. At 13:32:32, the rain was up to 1.333 inches in areas of Isle County. At 13:37:32, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Isle County. The wind started to pick up with gusts of 20 mph, damaging plants and bushes. One gust damaged a telephone wire and caused a power outage for the neighborhood that was in the severe thunderstorm. One accident occurred when a male Robloxian walking down the street was hit by a loose wire and was electrocuted. Things such as papers, cans, and bottles were the first debris to roam the windy landscape. Thunder and lightning struck a flying plane and the plane crashed onto houses in the severe thunderstorm area. Lightning also struck a Robloxian restaurant, causing a fire that was put out by the heavy rain.

At 13:43:32, the first tornado warning was issued for the storm as it approached northwest of a rural community. Shortly afterward, storm spotters and law enforcement reported a trunk funnel cloud under a clear updraft base. This first funnel cloud would did not injure or kill anyone. As it tracked east-northeast, three more funnel clouds would develop and dissipate. Of which two of which did not injure anyone, kill anyone, destroy anything, or toss anything over, but the second and third funnel clouds damaged the equivalent of a EF0 and a EF2 tornado. The last conical funnel cloud destroyed 10 homes, tossed cars over 100 yards, killed 1 Robloxian, and injured 15 Robloxians.

By 13:52:32, rotation was seen for the fifth time in Isle County, once again indicating that a supercell is on the ground. Gusts of 40 mph were causing damage to roofs of buildings and breaking limbs off trees. One of the trees fell on an oil truck, but the oil never spilt. But now, the rain is a problem. In some low-laying areas of Farming County, flooding was occurring with water up to 10.67 inches in some parts. It was 13:32:32, but the sky made it look like it was nighttime. Power outages were getting more and more common throughout Farming County, with 4 outages being reported as of 13:57:32.

In Farming County, the rotation got faster, and the wind gusts up to 60 mph. At a McBloxald's, a chair from the outside tables broke the glass doors of the inside, letting glass fly everywhere. A female Robloxian in a car died when a large tree branch shot through her windshield. At 14:07:32, hail started to fall from the Farming County skies. Some hailstones were up to 4.667 inches in size. School dismissals were halted until further notice due to the extreme weather. One tree fell on a school bus, crushing the driver and injuring a few children, but no other Robloxians died.

By 14:32:32, a tornado watch was issued for Isle County, Farming County, and three other counties. The supercell was heading towards Farming County at a speed of 25 mph, with 5.333-inch hail and 13.33 inches of rain on the ground. One hailstone slammed through the roof of an apartment, going through all of the floors below. Robloxians were trying to evacuate Farming County and other counties by driving.

The tornado first touched down in front of storm chasers at 15:20:32 Western Robloxian Standard Time in Farming County, Rohio, roughly 4 miles south-southwest of its first rural community. It rapidly intensified into a violent tornado upon formation. Destroying a large metal structure at EF5 intensity, peeling away thick slabs of pavement, and grinding out a trench in the soil up to 3 feet deep, it continued NNE at around 45MPH, sweeping away ranch homes and tossing cars over a mile from where they originated, leaving them unrecognizable. It scoured away an interblox before eventually striking Hasley. Here it did the most damage, damaging or destroying at least 5,000 buildings and killing 288. The tornado continued for many miles until finally entering another rural community at 18:12:32 Western Robloxian Standard Time. The tornado appeared to dissipate and lift as it rapidly weakened to a weak tornado at EF0 intensity. However, the tornado did not dissipate or lift, so what happened next was shocking to many residents and readers of this encyclopedia article stored on an electronic medium.

The tornado began to move NNE across a river, being wide enough to move through the river without dissipating. While on the river, the tornado picked up a small sailing ship and sunk it, killing the travelers in it. The tornado disturbed the small barns along the bridge and collapsed some of their doors. While moving through the rural community, it uplifted vinyl sidings of family residences and shingles of manufactured homes. It hit one manufactured home in the rural community and broke its windows. The tornado was classified as an EF1 at 18:19:32 Western Robloxian Standard Time after it caused an apartment to lose its roof covering.

At 18:21:32, it hit downtown Southern Blockatetown, uplifting canopies of motels and lightweight metal roof decking of masonry apartments. It hit a small retail building that was used as the Farming County Courthouse with winds of 115 mph and destroyed the covered walkways. Moving east and moving north, the tornado avoided Northern Blockatetown to strike another rural community. EF2 damage was observed here. The entire roof structure of small professional buildings was basically uplifted, the entire roof structure of strip malls uplifted, and the roof structure of large shopping malls uplifted. When the tornado hit a large, isolated retail building, it uplifted and removed its roof structure. The tornado collapsed the exterior walls of an automobile showroom. When it hit an automobile service building, a load-bearing wall collapsed in front of an automotive technician, killing him. The tornado hit an elementary school in the northern part of the rural community, uplifting and collapsing its roof structure.

Its next target was another rural community, striking the rural community with EF3 damage being seen in all parts of the rural community. The tornado hit a senior high school while tearing through the rural community; the senior high school was hit directly, causing interior walls on the top floor to collapse, killing 15 Robloxians hiding on the top floor. A low-rise building used to house Taco Blox had its exterior walls significantly damaged. The tornado continued its path along a mid-rise building, causing its curtain walls and some of its interior walls to be significantly damaged.

The tornado turned a surprise hard left and directly hit a high-rise building used to house a fast-food restaurant, collapsing the roof structure. Then, the tornado hit an institutional building, with patients still inside the institutional building. Some top story exterior walls collapsed. The tornado then hit a metal building system, totally destroying it. The tornado then completely destroyed a service station canopy and destroyed a large section of a warehouse building. The tornado collapsed a metal truss tower and a free-standing tower. At 18:44:32, schools asked if they could do dismissals, but were met with the school district superintendent stating that they were halted until further notice due to the extreme weather.

The tornado hit a small rural community next, causing EF3 damage to the luminary poles there. Most of the luminary poles collapsed in front of Robloxians, killing 23 in that rural community.

Then, the tornado hit a hardwood forest, causing EF4 damage there. It hit the largest hardwood tree in the forest, with debarking and stubs of largest branches remaining. A reported 45 hardwood foresters died in the hardwood forest.

The tornado continued its path north until it appeared to get out of Farming County. However, the tornado surprisingly backtracked. At 18:59:32, the tornado warning was upgraded to a tornado emergency, telling Robloxians to go in underground shelters. The tornado was ready to destroy its next rural community. It hit the softwood forest first, causing EF4 damage there as trees were debarked with the stubs of largest branches remaining at the scene. It moved on to houses, where their walls were completely ripped off and entire second floors were gone, and debris was scattered everywhere. A car was thrown into one of the houses that killed the family hiding there. A large tree collapsed onto one of the houses, killing a male Robloxian hiding under a table. The tornado continued moving south at a speed of 35 mph. It now had wind speeds of 175 mph, destroying everything that came in contact with it. It was also at this point, 0.9 miles wide, indicating rapid growth. It decimated a presbyterian church with all, but one wall gone.

By now, a severe thunderstorm watch was in effect for a neighboring county. However, the thunderstorm would not hit the county.

Along its way south, the tornado entered another rural community, where it destroyed a line of Robloxian variety stores; the walls were gone, and the stores were demolished. It also hit a fire station, killing the firefighters taking cover. It caused similar damage to the fire station.

The tornado moved into another rural community. The rural community was the first rural community to receive EF5 damage from the tornado. It hit another church causing the first EF5 damage to it with foundation exposed and the brick church gone. Now it had speeds of 208 mph.

While on its way, the tornado demolished a pharmacy, an all you can eat, and a pet retailer, leaving the structures of the buildings collapsed and deformed. After it hit a mobile home center, the mobile homes were obliterated by the winds of the tornado, leaving an empty field where the mobile homes were. It caused EF5 damage to another neighborhood with 70% of the houses there being completely destroyed. Then the tornado hit a shopping center which received winds of up to 220 mph. The senior apartments was destroyed at EF5 intensity as well.

The tornado continued to do EF5 damage to houses. It slammed a tree into one of the walls of a church. which received EF3 damage. It continued to move north and moved into a rural community. While in the rural community, the storm weakened into an EF4 momentarily before becoming an EF5 again. The tornado hit a convivence store with EF4 damage, causing the gas station to leak gasoline and an explosion occurred, injuring the Robloxians taking cover in the convivence store. It threw half of a structure into the air, leaving the structure deformed. The tornado moved along a Ro-Route, mangling cars and trucks evacuating on that Ro-Route. One car was picked up and thrown into another car. A court building was demolished, and an elementary school was severely damaged with EF3 damage observed there.

The tornado moved southwest into another rural community, immediately destroying the rural community. It flattened a hotel and a county jail with 235 mph winds. Ground scouring of up to 10 inches was observed at a park. Then the storm hit an electric production, decimating the place and causing a power outage for the entire county and causing many Robloxians to turn on their backup generators. It also destroyed the recycling plant there. It mowed a field as it moved northeast, destroying the water filtration plant as it moved along.

It moved southwest into a rural community, sustaining EF5 damage. At 19:19:32, the school district superintendent sent an electronic mail to the principals of the school district, stating that "school dismissals will continue to be halted until further notice". Houses were flattened, leaving foundation visible and leaving a big mess. A high school was ripped apart by the tornado as well, leaving an empty skeleton where the school once was.

The tornado hit another rural community with the same strength as it hit the previous rural community, decimating houses and stores that it came close to. At 19:29:32, another electronic mail was sent to the principals of the school district, once again stating that "school dismissals will continue to be halted until further notice". A mobile home park was obliterated by the now 245 mph winds. Then, the tornado moved northwest towards the rural community, hitting the community with 250 mph winds, destroying the houses there, most of them made out of wood. It ripped open the roof of a Robloxian variety store, causing everything and everyone in the store to be violently ripped from the Robloxian variety store. The tornado hit another mobile park home that was demolished as well as the others.

With it now being more than four hours since the tornado touched down, the tornado continued southwest to a rural community, the rural community sustaining winds of 265 mph. Most of the houses there were wiped off the map for weeks or months, having to be completely rebuilt. It also destroyed a doctor's office and a cemetery along the way. At 19:39:32, the tornado hit the western part of another rural community causing EF5 damage to most of the rural community. 75% of the rural community was destroyed; a reported 115 Robloxians there alone were killed by the twister. It did some severe ground scouring at a golf course, with scouring of up to a foot. An addendum to the tornado emergency was issued, with the Robloxian Emergency Alert System (REAS) transcript saying that above-ground shelters would not stand a chance. The tornado appeared once again to exit Farming County at 19:42:32, but re-entered southwestern Farming County at 19:42:33 as it surprisingly backtracked once again.

It struck another rural community next, destroying 100 houses with EF5 damage, 38 stores, and the water plant of the rural community as well. The tornado moved along the interblox, deforming cars and trucks that were on the interblox. This unfortunate event happened to a group of storm chasers who did not think the tornado would come close to the interblox, but they were wrong.

At 19:49:32, the tornado headed northeast, hitting another rural community. The rural community was destroyed with 270 mph winds. The tornado ripped apart a shopping mall, demolishing all of the stores and restaurants inside. It decimated a consumer electronic retailer before losing a little bit of size, from 1.6 miles to just 1 mile. However, it was still a deadly, rapidly rotating storm. Still parallel to the interblox, the tornado moved into another rural community, causing EF5 damage to the rural community, and getting closer and closer into its next rural community. It destroyed the next rural community, decimating houses and stores there with 280 mph winds. However, as it crossed the county's river, it weakened to 225 mph winds. However, it still hit another rural community with EF5 intensity, severely damaging and destroying apartment complexes and hotels there. The tornado never hit the downtown of the rural community, as it moved east, hitting the residential areas of the greater rural community.

At 20:09:32, another electronic mail was sent to the principals of the school district, once again stating that "school dismissals will continue to be halted until further notice". At 20:11:32, the tornado moved into another rural community. The tornado crossed another interblox and decimated the rural community with 215 mph winds. The tornado was slowly weakening, but that did not mean at all that it was dissipating.

It spontaneously grew stronger for no reason, gaining wind speeds of up to 290 mph. At 20:19:32, the tornado hit another rural community, doing EF5 damage. The tornado was big now; at 2 miles in width, the monster tornado destroyed over 80% of the rural community and 176 Robloxians were killed in the rural community alone.

Now, the tornado was in a field, destroying crops, trees, and the occasional farm. One farm was so damaged, it looked like there was not a farm to begin with. One time, the tornado ripped open a storm shelter door, killing the people hiding there.

At 20:39:32, the tornado attempted to cross to the next county but was unable to do so. At 20:41:32, the school sent out another electronic mail was sent to the principals of the school district, once again stating that "school dismissals will continue to be halted until further notice". The tornado emergency was accidentally downgraded to a tornado warning, leaving Robloxians in Farming County to underestimate the storm's power. First, the tornado hit a rural community village with almost 300 mph winds (297 mph to be exact). The rural community village was practically gone, since most of the houses and buildings there were not well-built. The tornado moved northeast along a Ro-Route, hitting a rural community next. It did catastrophic damage to the rural community, and it was left unrecognizable to the survivors of the death storm. It threw shipping crates from a warehouse near the rural community 60 yards from the original location.

By now, Harmonia was receiving a severe thunderstorm warning as the tornado and the supercell move closer.

The tornado then crossed into another rural community and it moved closer to Harmonia. The tornado now had speeds of 302 mph, challenging Roblox records. The tornado caused the destruction of 90% of another rural community with 200 dead from it. Most of the rural community had to be entirely rebuilt due to the tornado.

The tornado inched its way closer and closer to Harmonia, all the while destroying the small suburbs that came before it. It was now beginning to hail once again; one hailstone measured 10 inches.

At 20:49:32, the tornado obliterated another rural community. 92% of the rural community was completely demolished and the Robloxians lay devastated. A fast-food restaurant was entirely lifted from its foundation and got thrown 40 yards away. A lake was struck next. The southern part of the rural community was completely gone, while the northern part got high-end EF4 damage for the most part, with some instances of EF5 damage as well.

At 20:59:32, the 2.4-mile wide EF5 tornado backtracked again. The school sent out another electronic mail was sent to the principals of the school district, once again stating that "school dismissals will continue to be halted until further notice". The tornado warning was upgraded to a tornado emergency and was immediately broadcasted for Farming County, but there was little time to prepare for such a huge storm. 95% of two rural communities were ripped apart by the tornado, leaving a pile of rubble where houses used to be. It hit a casino with 305 mph winds, flattening the casino and leaving a pile of metal. It obliterated three rural communities. It was creeping into another rural community. 89% of the next rural community was demolished by the tornado. Finally, it hit the central downtown of another rural community. Towers collapsed, apartments' upper floors were swept away, and stores were wiped off the map for good. 91% of the downtown of the rural community was gone forever. It totaled the rural communities to the east with extreme damage as well, with 98% of one rural community destroyed. It hit another rural community next, causing devastating damage with 88% of the rural community wiped off the map.

At 21:14:32, the tornado, now just an EF4 due to rapid weakening, backtracked, first hitting a small rural community village with 195 mph winds. It still did destroy 45% of the small rural community village. It also destroyed a high school.

It hit a rural community village next. The tornado was even bigger than the rural community village itself, so the entire rural community village was directly hit. Even as an EF4, 65% of the rural community village was gone due to the monster twister.

It contented to move through plain fields until at 21:34:32, when it struck a rural community, which was a sign that the tornado was getting very close to Harmonia. When the tornado seemed to be weakening, the tornado regained strength once again and turned into an EF5 once again. It devastated the rural community with 209 mph winds, turning houses into mangled messes of metal and wood. It hit southern parts of the rural community with the same intensity.

After hitting the rural community, the tornado moved north and decimated the rural community village of Wilkins Run with 50% of the rural community village gone. It continued to do damage to fields until it hit and demolished two rural communities. Now 2.8 miles wide and with 250 mph winds, the tornado backtracked again at 21:49:32.

It continued to do damage to fields again, then it hit a rural community with 260 mph winds, destroying houses and stores. Then, it hit more fields, damaging crops and trees. It hit a rural community at 22:04:32, weakening to an EF4 again and losing size.

It backtracked again at 22:10:32, but the tornado did not really cause that much damage, since there are not a lot of rural communities on this part of the track, although it did cause high-end EF3 damage to one rural community.

At 22:14:32, the tornado backtracked and hit a rural community with EF3 damage, indicating signs of weakening. Robloxians were glad that the tornado was weakening. However, they were wrong.

At 22:39:32, the tornado backtracked, where it began to restrengthen into an EF5. After damaging plains, the now EF5 hit and devastated another rural community. 35% of the rural community was destroyed. The tornado was crossing into the Harmonia Metro area, hitting suburb after suburb.

It continued to cause havoc until at 23:11:32, it tried to backtrack, but it could not backtrack. As a result, it caused EF5 damage to Harmonia's towers and skyscrapers, some falling down and killing Robloxians. At 23:24:32, the tornado crossed into a rural community, where it finally dissipated after striking a rural community at the Farming County border at 23:38:32.

Aftermath:

After the tornado dissipated, the county executive of Farming County declared a state of emergency for the county, having a tornado rip through most of the county.

20% of Farming County was destroyed. It would take years for the entire county to recover from such a monster storm.

The governor of Rohio visited Farming County to survey the damage himself. He said this about the damage:

"This has got to be one of the worst natural disasters of this state's history. It might take decades to see the beauty of Farming County once again. But we will overcome and rebuild, we must not let this storm kill out liberty and freedom."
