On May 20, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at the Grand Sanctum Square in Brookhaven, Robloxia. At approximately 11 a.m. RST, a shooter entered the area and opened fire on a large number of individuals. Eighteen people, including the shooter were shot and killed, with many as forty people are severely injured. The shooting is being looked into by the authorities at this time. The shooting is the deadliest-mass shooting to occur in Brookhaven.

Between February and May 2023, there were several attacks on the city and challenges, mostly because of the government.
Shooting
The shooting began at around 11 a.m. RST when the shooter entered the parking lot and killed two individuals and injuring one other before moving into Grand Sanctum Square and murdering five other people in total while inflicting up to twenty-five injuries. One of the victims recalled being shot in the leg several times and watching the shooter "killing and hurting more and more people"'; she also stated that she saw the gunman saying something like "Blamed Brookhaven for my actions here" The shooter then reportedly went inside of a movie theater that was inside of the Grand Sanctum Square and began shooting more shots there, resulting in two deaths and many injuries.
The attacker has now been identified as being deceased. According to a survivor of the shooting, he said that he "saw the gunman carrying an AR-type weapon and watched as the shooter shot two people, who were getting out of a car". A total of 600 rounds were fired by the attacker in the opening five minutes of the mass shooting, according to confirmation. Police tweeted that there was "an active shooter at the building near town hall and the foundation" and that they had arrived on the site of the shooting at approximately 11:35 a.m. RST.
Victims
Eighteen people, including the shooter were fatally killed and many as forty+ injuries had been reported. Most of the victims had been transported to Brookhaven Hospital with them later confirming that a person had died.
Aftermath
As of now, President Roblox had been briefed on the shooting. Roblox responded by saying he would be appearing live on television later that day approximately 8:00 p.m. RST. Due to the event occurring so close to town hall, where the mayor of the city was working when it started and where he was also briefed about the shooting, he had been evacuated to a secure location outside of the city.
