The 2022 Yellowbrick Eruption killed up to 192 million Robloxians. It is the first VEI 8 explosive eruption in recorded Robloxian history. After the eruption, ten cities, including Yellowbrick and Yellowville, were under lava because of a colossal lava flow. Twenty cities, including Yellowbrick and Yellowville are still underway on recovery, even though the eruption itself lasted only 15 hours. As feared by the Robloxia Geological Survey geologists, an area the size of Bloxas was flattened, the Yellowbrick Caldera was regenerated, an ash cloud was extended, and ash and pumice were emitted from the volcano. The entire Northern Hemisphere of Roblox heard it. Sonic booms were reported 23.9 centimeters from the eruption. Robloxians within 50 kilometers were reported to be killed by exsanguination (colloquially: bleeding to death or rape) of the ears. Even Robloxians with ear protection were not immune; they simply were succumbed to indefinite deafness.
Buildup
January 28, 2022:
A VEI 0 eruption occurred at Mount Yellowbrick on this day. It is not notable to be placed on electronic encyclopedias; it was just mainly lava and smoke. No serious explosions have occurred from this eruption. However, it was notable as proving that Yellowbrick was not extinct after all, after over a millennium of no eruptions.
Escalation
January 29, 2022:
DAWN OF THE FIRST DAY; -72 HOURS REMAIN-
A VEI 2 eruption occurred at Mount Yellowbrick on this day, causing an ash cloud to extend at least couple of miles from the volcano. Lava and hot blocks were generated by this eruption. The Robloxia Geological Survey concluded this eruption is an elevated and intense unrest above known background activity as they cited this as an exhibited sign. The Robloxia Geological Survey continued to closely monitor Mount Yellowbrick for possible renewed increases.
The Balaska Volcano Observatory observed this volcano to be restless and expected seismic activity, as well as eruptive activity to be elevated and increased.
There were reports of significant anomalous conditions that were recognized that could be indicative of an eventual hazardous volcanic event. Robloxia Geological Survey was notified of volcanic unrest. The Civil Authorities of Robloxia promoted Robloxia to Yellow Alert.
January 30, 2022:
DAWN OF THE SECOND DAY; -48 HOURS REMAIN-
A VEI 4 eruption occurred at Mount Yellowbrick on this day, causing ash clouds to extend ten to fifteen, possibly even more miles from the vent. A mandatory evacuation was issued for Downtown Yellowbrick and Yellowville due to ash clouds. Hot blocks, pumice and ash were the main events of this eruption. Some lava occurred, and weak pyroclastic flows occurred.
The Robloxia Geological Survey concluded this was a heightened and escalating unrest with increased potential for eruptive activity until February 2, as it was exhibiting heightened unrest with increased likelihood of eruption. Minor ash emissions were reported, with an ash cloud 25,000 feet above sea level. All flights headed to Yellowbrick or Yellowville were diverted to a nearby airport with no ash cloud influence. All flights headed to the ash cloud and are of flight level 250 or below were advised to take a detour by going around the ash cloud. Otherwise, flights continued flying to this area.
The Balaska Volcano Observatory has observed this volcano to be accelerating in terms of intense unrest and stated that an eruption is likely within hours, if not days.
There were reports of plumes of ash clouds coming out of a small ash eruption. Robloxia Geological Survey was notified of volcanic unrest, prompting civil authorities to place Robloxia on an Orange Alert.
January 31, 2022:
DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY; -24 HOURS REMAIN-
An VEI 6 / Serious eruption occurred at Mount Yellowbrick on this day, causing an explosion that was heard on Downtown Yellowbrick and Yellowville. Both of those two cities were devastated for being miles away from the volcano. Ash clouds extended over 75 miles from the volcano.
The Robloxia Geological Survey concluded this has been a symbol for a highly hazardous eruption that could be imminent, citing Mount Yellowbrick exhibiting heightened unrest with increased likelihood of eruption. Ash emissions were reported similar to what occurred on the previous day, except they were significantly larger.
The Balaska Volcano Observatory observed this volcano to most likely erupt massively and explosively, issuing a threat level of 4.
There were reports of plumes of ash clouds coming out of a significantly large ash eruption. Robloxia Geological Survey has been notified of volcanic unrest, prompting civil authorities to place Robloxia on a Red Alert.
Monitoring and evaluation indicated that precursory events have escalated to the point where a volcanic event with attendant hydrologic hazards or hazards pertaining to volcanology have been threatening to life and property. An eruption appeared to be imminent.
Eruption (February 1, 2022):
An abrupt chunk of magma exploded out of the volcano at 8:33 Telamon Sea Time, beginning the famed eruption. 1,800,000 pounds of pumice started to rain down on Roblox, killing over 12,000,000 Robloxians. To make things even worse, as Mount Yellowbrick spat out ash, it mixed with rain and snow, causing lahars to rain down on Roblox, which would kill another 180,000,000 Robloxians and causing R$3.36 quintillion (2022 R$) to the area. The ash cloud obscured everything into darkness and was responsible for the killing of 480,000,000 florae, 240,000,000 non-Robloxian fauna, and 180,000,000 Robloxians. Ash was even reported in Bloxico City. All of Roblox was in ash, and some was ejected into the atmosphere, causing some global effects.
Aftermath:
The eruption caused a tornado outbreak nationwide as temperatures fell. Tornadic wind speeds reached 201 mph in San Bloxington. Tornadoes touched down as far south as Bloxington Island and Palm County, further killing many florae and fauna. Another 4,534 Robloxians died of tornadoes. Colossal cleanup projects were issued. Government officials cleaned up huge parts of Roblox. Meanwhile, Yellowbrick's activity abruptly ceased.
On September 18, 2022, government officials had finally cleaned up huge parts of Roblox, rendering the planet back to what it was prior to the eruption. Scientists are expecting that another eruption of that magnitude could occur anywhere from 500 to 70,000 years, but were relieved to find out that the magma chamber of Yellowbrick had been emptied, ensuring that it would not be able to erupt. They were not relieved, however, to find out that the magma in the chamber had been transported via magma currents to Brookhaven Peak.
