The 2022 Tornado Outbreak was a costly, deadly, and active tornado outbreak. Over 152 tornadoes struck Robloxia, with nine tornadoes hitting metropolitan areas across the affected states. 152 tornadoes were recorded in total across 50 states. Around two of these tornadoes were EF5. There is a possibility that there were more but were not recorded. February 2nd had 4,534 fatalities; these are the most fatalities due to tornadoes in a single day in recorded history.
Meteorological Synopsis:
The outbreak was caused by a super volcanic winter that formed from the eruption of Yellowbrick in 2022. CAPE values reached 5000 J/kg over Robloxia. Temperature levels across Robloxia ranged from 80 - 139 F, and helicity levels were over 500 m2/s2, which supported long track tornadoes.
Notable Tornadoes:
2022 Santa Clarax County, Bloxburg Valley Tornado (EF5)
At 12:00 AM Bloxington Time Zone, a tornado began developing. Spotters then confirmed a rain wrapped tornado a few minutes later, on a path directly in line with the San Bloxington metro. At 12:03 AM, the tornado hit, totally destroying small barns and collapsing chimneys, gaining EF2 status at 114 mph winds. Debris was lofted 11,824 feet into the air, and a massive debris ball was visible on radar. At 12:05, a PDS tornado warning was declared for San Bloxington, and the tornado began rolling and vaulting single wide manufactured homes. At 12:07, the tornado officially entered San Bloxington city limits, and began displacing double wide manufactured homes in Southwest San Bloxington. It hit the San Bloxingon International Airport, scouring the runways and destroying several hangars. An Air Bloxanada jet was found in the Bloxington Ocean. The plane was heavily damaged due to the crash. It was thrown up by the tornado, and the plane glided for several hours before crashing in northern Bloxington Ocean. The tornado hit a residential area of San Bloxington, uplifting canopies over motel driveways and lightweight metal roof decking of masonry apartments. The tornado veered slightly north before it hit Technology Valley International School. The school was empty, and only experienced 18 mile per hour winds. It crossed a river and turned towards the San Bloxington Museum of Art. The tornado totally destroyed small retail buildings, and it totally destroyed small professional buildings. A storm damage assessor reported EF4 damage in downtown San Bloxington. It was moving so slowly that the unprecedented 187 mile per hour winds battered areas for five minutes. The tornado destroyed large sections of the strip malls it hit; the only things left were small sections of the strip malls. Interior walls of large shopping malls collapsed, and large sections of large, isolated retail buildings were completely destroyed. The tornado left the city limits and barreled northeast.
The tornado obliterated anything that was on its track. While it missed downtowns, it decimated the suburbs of those cities, before moving on into Bloxington Ocean as a waterspout, before it turned slightly south into more Bloxington Ocean. The waterspout held a peak windspeed of 201 MPH. It roped out at 1:19 AM. The tornado caused in total, 422 fatalities.
2022 Sacramento Tornado (EF4)
At 2:24 AM, a 3.2-mile wide multi vortex tornado with windspeeds over 198 miles per hour hit the city of Sacramento and caused EF4 damage. Small barns were totally destroyed, walls of two-family residences were collapsed, and debris of single wide manufactured homes were blown away. This tornado caused seven fatalities, and well over 582 injuries.
Great San Bernando Tornado (EF4)
At 4:48 AM, a catastrophic tornado began forming 27 miles west of San Bernando. Three minutes later, spotters confirmed an extremely large, and extremely violent tornado 24 miles west of the city, which prompted a PDS tornado warning. At 5:12, the tornado was three miles away from San Bernando, still gaining strength. The tornado hit San Bernando at 5:15 AM, and immediately caused EF4 damage with winds of 181 mph, including total destruction of small barns, ground scouring of six feet, collapse of walls of two-family residences, along with the complete destruction of all single wide manufactured homes, in its path. The tornado began to move east across a town east of San Bernando.
At 5:33, the tornado entered a town 18 miles east of San Bernando, causing double wide manufactured homes to be completely destroyed. The tornado maintained a steady path but shifted slightly southeast due to changes in the squall's trajectory. The tornado's tracking speed decreased from 60 miles per hour. At 5:53, the tornado moved across the town, and hit the southeastern portion of the town. It moved southeast. The tornado dissipated near the town at 6:35 AM.
2022 Riverside, Bloxburg Valley Tornado (EF4)
At 7:12 AM, this violent daytime tornado touched the ground just southwest of the city of Riverside and started moving north-northeast. The tornado struck the northern part of Riverside, overturning several small barns and collapsing inward garage doors at EF1 force at 104 mph winds. Then the tornado and the entire mesocyclone weakened, leading to the cancellation of the tornado warning previously issued for the counties of Riverside, and two others. The tornado though was still on the ground and gained strength as it approached a city. Once the twister and mesocyclone strengthened on the radar screens of the Robloxia Weather Service, a Tornado Warning was issued for the area. Lightning started further illuminating the tornado as it approached Riverside Drive In. There, the outdoor screen was swept clean, a double wide manufactured home's entire roof structure was lost, and an apartment's roof covering was uplifted. Then the tornado moved over rural Bloxburg Valley, passing near three towns and U-turning, directly towards the city of Riverside. The city took a direct hit at EF4 strength at 179 miles per hour. All 77 fatalities occurred in the city because, upon reaching the city, the tornado knocked down power lines and there were no warning sirens (because in Bloxburg Valley, tornadoes are legendarily rare). The Riverside Police Department (RPD) and other police departments in the county managed to create sirens using police vehicles, namely police sedans and police SUVs, but just seconds before the tornado hit. The twister then dissipated just northeast of the city.
2022 San Juan, Bloxburg Valley Tornado (EF4)
This tornado was the fifth notable tornado of the outbreak and the fourth notable EF4 of the event. It touched the ground during 9:36 AM of February 2nd near the city of San Juan, after two daytime supercells merged after putting down a few not notable weak tornadoes over western Bloxburg Valley. From there, the tornado tracked over open country but managed to sweep clean several well-built brick homes in numerous farmsteads and dig 2 feet deep, 13 feet long ditches in a couple of spots in fields, taking aloft dirt, mud and crops.
The most considerable damage was found in the latter two thirds of the tornado's path. In fact, a petroleum truck was thrown and exploded on the road, a radio transmission tower was swept clean, a farm equipment store was completely blown away, with several tractors and combine harvesters picked up, mangled beyond recognition and put back down several miles away, a well build home was taken off from the foundations and rolled on the road and an entire farmstead was demolished, with only the main house left standing with EF0 damage. The tornado weakened to 82 mph winds. Wood and metal roof panels were lost from small barns, vinyl and metal sidings were lost from one-family residences, and shingles were lost from single wide manufactured homes. Porches and carports were damaged from double wide manufactured homes.
The tornado injured 11 Robloxians and killed two. The two fatalities were two storm chasers that were following the tornado on a track parallel to the path of the twister, to the northeast, but the tornado took a right turn to the east-northeast, picking up the truck with the chasers inside and throwing it in a field, making it explode.
2022 El Central, Bloxburg Valley Tornado (EF4)
As thunderstorms began to initiate north of El Central that evening, one storm that developed near Robloxity County explosively intensified and soon enough, an area of broad rotation began to develop as the storm moved towards El Central. A rotating wall cloud was reported near Robloxity County at 1147, followed by a short-lived and not notable EF0 tornado not long later. At 1157, a funnel cloud was sighted southwest of El Central, and this funnel cloud touched down in a field at 1200. Remaining weak for most of its early life, the tornado moved east across open fields for several minutes, overturning a few small barns at EF1 intensity at 100 mph, however, by 1206, a period of rapid intensification began on the tornado, with it quickly growing from a stovepipe into a large wedge tornado. A PDS tornado warning was warranted for El Central at 1209, as the tornado moved southeast of El Central, causing EF3 to EF4 damage to many structures along the way. One Robloxian was killed in New Park, southeast of El Central when their car was thrown by the tornado. The tornado began to move northeast over open fields and considerably weaken, dropping to EF2 intensity at 121 mph about 7.13 miles southeast of El Central, before pulling east as a EF0 tornado at 81 mph winds. It briefly re-intensified into EF1 intensity at 101 mph winds, before rapid weakening began once again around 1215. The tornado lifted east-southeast of El Central at 1225.
2022 Robloxity County, Robloxia Tornado (EF1)
During the afternoon hours, a supercell thunderstorm moved into the Southern Robloxity County area, and a small tornado touched down at 1424 in residential areas of Southern Robloxity County, quickly intensifying into a 91-mph tornado (EF1) by the time that it was nearing a small barn. At said small barn, structural damage was noted to had possibly supported 93 mph winds and localized EF1 damage was documented along a relatively long track until the tornado began to weaken as it passed north of a one-family residence. The Robloxia Weather Service, receiving reports of a EF1 tornado on the ground and with radar indicating a rather impressive debris ball with debris being thrown upwards of 4,900 feet into the air, issued a tornado warning for the southwest Robloxity city area at 1433. Damage seems to indicate that the tornado began to intensify again as it passed east of a single wide manufactured home, with storm surveyors noting "damage that would typically result in 93 mph winds" in a borough of Robloxity. There were issues in structural integrity, but it still led to an EF1 rating being applied here. Not long later, the tornado crossed into Robloxity itself at 83 mph winds or EF0 intensity, causing single wide manufactured homes to lose their shingles, killing one Robloxian in the process. The tornado began to quickly weaken from this point forward however, moving through Northern Robloxity at 73 mph winds or EF0 intensity before lifting at Brickland at 1502.
2022 Miablox, Blorida Tornado (EF0)
At about 6:36 p.m. (Telamon Sea time), a tornado warning was issued for parts of Palm County and two others in Blorida. A funnel cloud had already been spotted with the same cell. The tornado warning was dropped in the latter two counties, but the tornado warning was extended into another county. A funnel cloud was again spotted, but this time, near a small, unincorporated community just southwest of Miablox. The tornado reportedly touched down at 7:12 p.m., according to eyewitnesses. The tornado traveled into the limits of Miablox, destroying more than 81 homes and businesses. The tornado also caused a small barn to lose its wood roof panels, where one Robloxian perished. The tornado went into downtown Miablox, where a two-family residence sustained visible damage. Other buildings in downtown Miablox were sustaining visible damage as the tornado moved out of the city. The tornado crossed the city border and damaged several carports of double wide manufactured homes near another city of Palm County, where one injury occurred. More than 19 pets were killed on two carports combined. The tornado lifted just south of the city at 7:24 p.m. Following the tornado, the city of Miablox, Blorida, requested a state of emergency as almost 32% of the city was demolished by the tornado. The Governor of Blorida accepted the request for a state of emergency in response to this tornado. On February 5, President Roblox and AmigoVilla2002 Jr. visited Miablox and helped many victims of the tornado. A charity was made to raise money for the people who lost homes in the tornado. This was the eighth notable tornado of the outbreak. Tornadic wind speeds only peaked at 78 mph.
2022 Bloxington D.C, Bloxington Island Tornado (EF4)
At about 9:02 p.m. (Telamon Sea Time), a tornado warning was issued for the Bloxington D.C. area and surrounding communities. The tornado warning was extended further until 9:36 p.m., when the tornado touched down just WSW of Bloxington D.C. The tornado slowly approached the city, visibly damaging small barns just before it reached the city limits. Two-family residences were visibly damaged. The tornado entered the city at about 9:42 p.m., visibly damaging single wide manufactured homes as it tore through the northwest corner of the city. A double wide manufactured home was visibly damaged. At least 72 apartments were left unscathed but caused more than 11 fatalities in Bloxington D.C. alone. The tornado moved over rural farmland, producing its first EF4 damage to a motel when the motel's top story walls were completely collapsed. The tornado passed north of a community, where the tornado destroyed a masonry apartment. At least 48 pets were killed on the motel and the masonry apartment aforementioned combined. At least seven small retail buildings were totally destroyed in one community. A small professional building was totally destroyed just north of a community. Miraculously, the tornado did not reach within the community limits, even though it was less than 0.8 miles away. The tornado passed through Bloxington D.C. a second time, killing two Robloxians as it completely destroyed large sections of more than 38 strip malls in the southern portion of the city. Another fatality occurred just outside of the city when a large shopping mall's interior walls collapsed. The tornado then passed directly through Bloxington D.C. a third time. The tornado collapsed inward a large, isolated retail building's exterior walls, but luckily, nobody was inside the large, isolated retail building at the time. The janitor of the large, isolated retail building said,
"I had just left when I heard about the tornado, and soon enough, the tornado hit the large, isolated retail building."
The tornado also completely destroyed large sections of more than 24 automobile showrooms and an automobile service building as it was passing through the city. One Robloxian was killed in an elementary school when the Robloxian was crushed by a collapsing load-bearing wall. Not only was a large section of an automobile service building down, but the interior walls of a junior high school were collapsed, which caused major havoc in the city, namely between the Robloxians who plan to get automobile service and Robloxians who plan to get a junior high school education. 33 other low-rise building's exterior walls were significantly damaged before the tornado moved out of Bloxington D.C. The tornado began to U-turn, making another direct path towards Bloxington D.C. as it was reentering the city. The tornado significantly damaged several curtain walls of mid-rise buildings as it was nearing the city. The tornado struck a high-rise building, uplifting its roof structure, which killed one Robloxian. The tornado then struck a newly built institutional building, collapsing some top story exterior walls. The tornado threw warehoused models in a totally destroyed metal building system three miles until they came to rest in downtown Bloxington D.C. The tornado then crossed a service station canopy, completely destroying it. By then, Robloxians were trying to evacuate the tornado. Miraculously, no causalities occurred in any vehicles on evacuation routes. The tornado passed through a warehouse building, killing nine Robloxians. The tornado collapsed the metal truss towers of electrical transmission lines, halting all electric transmissions for two weeks until the metal truss towers were repaired. The tornado also collapsed numerous micro-wave towers before moving out of Bloxington D.C. The tornado struck Robloxia's most important flagpole, collapsing it. The tornado passed over a hardwood tree, debarking it and leaving stubs of largest branches behind. The tornado debarked numerous softwood trees, leaving stubs of largest branches as it passed through a rural area with a few homes. The tornado damaged five more homes before dissipating at 10:29 p.m. Bloxington D.C. requested for a state of emergency and the Governor of Bloxington Island accepted the request for a state of emergency and requested a national emergency in response to the tornado. President Roblox approved the request for a national emergency. The tornado killed 28 Robloxians and caused more than R$496.2 billion (2022 R$) in damages.
Other Notables
February 2, 2022, Mesocyclone
A mesocyclone moved into the Kyle City area, forming funnel clouds. However, none of the funnel clouds touched down.
