The 2022 Southern Bloxburg Valley Heat Wave was an unusually expansive heat dome, which developed over the entirety of Southern Bloxburg Valley beginning on August 31, 2022. It ended on September 5, 2022. This heat wave, which produced temperatures upwards of ninety-four degrees above the norm, was caused by an extensive dome of high pressure that settled over Southern Bloxburg Valley, causing the entire Southern Bloxburg Valley to be placed under an Extreme Heat Warning by the Robloxia Weather Service.
Impacts:
Heat Impacts on Land:
August 31:
Many cities broke records. Low temperatures exceeded 40 degrees Celsius. Some low temperatures exceeded 50 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures in Bloxburg reached 136 degrees Fahrenheit (58 degrees Celsius), breaking a record held since June 26, 1990, for the highest temperature recorded in downtown and at the edges of the city. Fort Sapphire recorded a high of 141 degrees Fahrenheit (61 degrees Celsius). San Juan recorded a high of 149 degrees Fahrenheit (65 degrees Celsius). San Bernando recorded a high of 147 degrees Fahrenheit (64 degrees Celsius). Riverside recorded a high of 148 degrees Fahrenheit (64 degrees Celsius). Beverlox Hills recorded a high of 150 degrees Fahrenheit (66 degrees Celsius). El Central recorded a high of 144 degrees Fahrenheit (62 degrees Celsius).
September 1-5:
As the extensive dome's high pressure explosively intensified while settling over Southern Bloxburg Valley, many cities broke their own records set on August 31, 2022. Low temperatures exceeded 40 degrees Celsius. Few low temperatures exceeded 50 degrees Celsius. Even fewer low temperatures exceeded 60 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures in Bloxburg remained at 136 degrees Fahrenheit (58 degrees Celsius), tying a record held since August 31, 2022, for the highest temperature recorded in downtown and at the edges of the city. Fort Sapphire recorded a maximum of 155 degrees Fahrenheit (68 degrees Celsius). San Juan recorded a maximum of 166 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius). San Bernando recorded a maximum of 170 degrees Fahrenheit (77 degrees Celsius). Riverside recorded a maximum of 169 degrees Fahrenheit (76 degrees Celsius). Beverlox Hills recorded a high of 179 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius). El Central recorded a high of 154 degrees Fahrenheit (68 degrees Celsius).
Heat Impacts on Water:
Waters in the Telamon Sea (particularly near warm currents) maxxed out above 95*F (35*C), while waters as warm as 79.3*F (26.3*C) extended over 400 feet (121 meters). As a result, Hurricane Gabriel formed from the Telamon Sea.
Heat-Related Impacts:
Thousands of powerlines, and pipes burst due to such extreme heat. An extended period of drought plagued Southern Bloxburg Valley as well. By the end of the heatwave, 86% of the Southern Bloxburg Valley had drought. Nearly all of Southern Bloxburg Valley had the "Exceptional Drought" category. Lakes four times the size of Lake Mead that witnessed temperatures near 120F(49C) or higher for an extended period of time had evaporated completely in Southern Bloxburg Valley. Sixteen cities in Southern Bloxburg Valley, including Bloxburg, San Juan, San Bernando, Riverside, Santa Fe, Dos Bocas, North Port, Fort Sapphire, Santa Catalina, Beverlox Hills, Los Andes, Shaine Oaks, El Central, and San Carlos, declared a state of emergency, as over 50% of Robloxians in those areas did not have electricity or water for days at a time. In Southern Bloxburg Valley, thirteen fires almost destroyed all wildlife in the heatwave, totaling an acreage of 3.8 million acres. Three cities in Southern Bloxburg Valley had an AQI of at least 467 for 44 days. The deadliest that the cities got was an AQI of 1,556, that occurred for nine days straight. 2,502 Robloxians died of air quality issues on one day. A fire 9.7 million acres hit the Southern Bloxburg Valley, expanding extremely terrible air quality. Many other states affected by this heat wave collaborated for a secret program to minimize effects of the heat wave, including water shortages, blackouts, wildfires, and terrible air quality. By September 6th, the effects finally died down all thanks to Hurricane Gabriel, but at what cost? Most of the Southern Bloxburg Valley region was still uninhabitable, so the population of that region and neighboring regions fell, which is to be attributed to a mass migration, in which as many as 144 million Robloxians were involved. They are supposed to find homes outside of their Southern Bloxburg Valley home.
