The wildfire was started when a Robloxian kicked a lantern-shaped barrel containing approximately 40 gallons of flammable liquid and disposed of a smoking cigarette and said "There will be an old time in the hot town tonight!" while robbing a grocery store at night.
The low humidity (caused by high temperatures) and high winds in Brookhaven triggered a Red Flag Warning for the county at night.
