On September 22, 2019, a crime wave broke out due to a riot at a state prison located on the outskirts of Robloxity. Many prisoners managed to escape from the prison, fleeing to the county of Robloxity.
Background
According to detectives, the revolt was organized by a prisoner named Martin DaBlock. This revolt occurred during lunchtime at the prison. Before lunch, five prisoners were tasked by other prisoners to mass produce weapons and escape instruments.
At some point during lunch, these prisoners began to fight against the guards, wounding 6 and killing 1. 5 guards were deployed throughout the courtyard and a great revolt was caused. Many prisoners took advantage and fled the prison. Approximately 2,198 prisoners escaped and 123 were captured.
When the escape of multiple prisoners was reported, the police took action and went to the prison to assist the guards while another group of police officers searched for the escaping prisoners.
A tactical squad called "Squad 71-EAGLE" was deployed in the metropolitan area of the city, but the dangerous neighborhoods were the least patrolled and this allowed fugitives to rob some houses and nearby businesses.
A police station with 5 officers in it was vandalized, causing officers to report the act, causing 2 vandals to be captured while 1 escaped.
When the police managed to control the revolt in the prison, they went to the city and the neighborhoods, this helped to control the massive crime wave. The mayor publicly apologized for the lax of security in the prison and promised much more strictness in terms of security in the prison.
Aftermath
There were 10 stolen houses, 27 buildings and businesses vandalized (many of the buildings were government buildings). In total there were 11 dead and 28 injured.
