The 2019 Mt. Blox Eruption was the third and last ( presumed to be ) known eruption to occur on Mt. Blox, though an estimated 5,002 eruptions preceded it. The eruption was categorized as Severe VEI 4. It began on May 30, 2019 CE, drenching the city near it with hot blocks, pumice, and ash. Despite this, hot lava and pyroclastic flows also occurred. Lava bombs were thrown for tens of meters. Following the eruption and despite the smaller VEI, 45,000 people died, and 3,811 others were injured during the eruption. Damages once evaluations were completed totaled an inflation adjusted R$2.4B ( $6M ), which is below normal for the eruption. It caused devastation for up to 6 miles from the main vent, with the ash cloud extending up to 7.5 miles from the vent. Robloxians stopped nicknaming Mt. Blox the Tambora of the Roblox World, for overall, the eruption was pretty similar to what occurred on Mount Amnoze, another volcano in Robloxia and the volcano was presumed to be extinct.

Despite drenching the surrounding city, Bloxburg was sparred, with the mountains near Mt. Blox to have no rockslides. No buildings were pushed down to Roblox's crust and being buried in dirt and stone.

Pre-Eruption to Beginning

The volcano before the eruption looked like a beak of a bird, which is believed to have caused the eruption.

8 months ago, a powerful earthquake estimating over magnitude 6.7 rocked the surrounding city of Mt. Blox. The tremors reached this volcano. It caught most Robloxians offguard. The earthquake caused a total of 97.8 billion ROBUX (2021 R$) of damage and killed 39 people. It was not included in the evaluations and the death toll.

5 months ago, two powerful earthquakes estimating over magnitude 9.6 and 10.1 respectively rocked another two surrounding cities. The tremors from both of them reached this Volcano. Those two earthquakes caught most Robloxians offguard. The earthquakes killed a grand total of 232,500 people. Most people thought that the worst was over. Little did they know that this was the dawn of the Volcano. However, it was not included in the evaluations and the death toll.

On 2019, people have noticed that some activity begun on Mt. Blox. Later that day, a steam eruption was seen from Mt. Blox. It was a moderate VEI-1 eruption.

A colossal ash plume was seen around 44% of the surrounding cities. The ash was sent up to 15 kilometers from surface. The mayor ordered for an evacuation of the Robloxians nearby the volcano. It was an alarming volcanic activity. The eruption is now categorized as a Moderate VEI-2.

A second major eruption began, which was more violent this time. The eruption column began to rise higher than the first one. A state of emergency was issued on 44% of the surrounding cities as Mt. Blox erupts. It spewed ash throughout 44% of the surrounding cities and marked a larger phase at the time it erupted at that time, and its record of its highest eruption column of its latest activity until the Third Phase began. It was categorized as a Considerable VEI-3.

Falling ash was recorded on 44% of the cities. The largest seismic activity was recorded when a Magnitude 3.7 rocked the volcano.

A small Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook the volcano and the country following a small steam smoke. It was a small eruption. It also caused a small-sized landslide when the activity began, which decreased the size of the mountain not significantly to affect height.

Hundreds of thousands in the cities flee. Everyone chose to evacuate in neighboring cities. It was a deadly day.

The eruption followed thunderstorms which are near the coast. The thunderstorms neared Mt. Blox, making it a double disaster combination. Falling ash became more intense and lethal with a mixture of rain and mudflows came along after its eruption.

Then pyroclastic flow came. The pyroclastic flow's deposits have reached the neighboring towns, which resulted in at least 1 direct death. Falling ash has even affected another neighboring town, which caused 2 direct deaths.

The volcano continues its eruption. The eruption halted into a magmatic eruption. The magmatic eruption started with a small-sized 5.0 earthquake along with low level magmatic eruption which caused a landslide. The volcano will not stop erupting.

The fourth phase of the eruption of Mt. Blox occurred shortly after its high level magmatic eruption. The eruption column reached 3.6 km. A magnitude 4.7 (aftershock of 5.0 earthquake) occurred and continued its eruption throughout the phase.

When the fifth and final phase eruption began, a cloud of ash was thrown 48 km into the atmosphere, This destabilized the mountain peak to the point of total destruction, where the last seismic activity needed before the eruption could initiate. After an hour, the eruption initiated, causing Mt. Blox to be blown off the map.

While the volcano was erupting, an 7.5 earthquake happened in NPC Town and one in Brookhaven. This killed 1,000.

Early Warning Systems

Robloxians caught the eruption early.

Despite their lower intelligence quotients, animals, including household pets, were also able to catch the pyroclastic flow 15 minutes before the flow and left the town for Robloxity. Scientists followed them to Robloxity. Other Robloxians were confused on why their pets and animals left the town for Robloxity. Falgus_2 finally found the solution to the mystery despite having no scientific knowledge. The local crazy old man believed that the animals are leaving the town because the eruption is near. However, he was met with disbelief, as nobody wanted to believe on his wrong conspiracy theories. However, he would later take 70% of animals and scientists on an airplane trip to Robloxity.

Eruption

During the eruption, the magma chamber of Mt. Blox, which is Greenville-sized, exploded, causing lava to squirt, then ooze, destroying nearby homes in the process, and later flow from the volcano's crater in rivers, flowing quickly for a lava flow into nearby towns, causing 2.4 billion ROBUX in damages, mostly to the neighboring homes and towns, as they were choked by ash and buried by the lava flows and oozes. The eruption was visible from 2 miles away.

The secondary pyroclastic flow began, completely obliterating small towns on all four cardinal directions. One of the small towns, Joshua Peak, had a population of 497 before the pyroclastic flow came. The pyroclastic flow killed 337.

Following the pyroclastic flow, Robloxitans camping near Mt. Blox noticed that Mt. Blox has collapsed and is slowly melting into the lava. One brave Robloxian decided to record this and post this on Bloxtube, where it received 8.9M views on the first year.

Bloxburg, which is 1 mile NW of Mt. Blox, ironically was left unscathed.

Overall, 45,000 people died from the final phase eruption, but 3,811 people got injured.

There were many rumors that a fourth eruption would happen in 2022.

Post-Eruption to Aftermath

In the aftermath of the eruption, as many as 600,000 people were made homeless, and 900,000 were left without a job, as the local population relied on farming to make their livings. The shortage of food therefore led to a region-wide famine, until aid reached the area, ending the famine, and giving out food and water supplies to the stricken population, along with vaccinations for the area, as many people were suffering from dirty water related diseases. Aid was quickly given, and as a result, the death toll was kept incredibly low, at 12 dead.

Effects on transportation

The eruption disrupted air traffic, causing one of the most interrupted travel due to the volcano, with some reaching Bloxifornia due to some reports of sulfur dioxide and volcanic aerosol reaching Bloxifornia. Billions were affected by this type of traffic interruption. Due to heavy traffic during evacuation, people set up emergency evacuation routes and set up airplane evacuation routes. The first route planned was a route from Robloxity to the volcano which would also double as a runway for evacuating airplanes. This first route would align with Interblox 299, which served as the bypass for Interblox 99, the easternmost Interblox in Robloxia.

Robloxity was partially affected by the eruption, as streets in the Robloxity were covered in ash, causing transportation disruptions. The evacuation route was also covered in ash, causing 2-5 cars, trucks, buses, and other transportation vehicles to be overturned or suddenly going off-road west to a forest. Some of the vehicles went off-road east to the Bloxington Ocean. For the forest, several fires were sparked by overturned vehicles, which would later spread to Seaboard City and do massive cataclysmic damage here. Some evacuating airplanes took off, but then crashed later on Interblox 299 and Robloxity buildings. Even Robloxity's electric provider building was crashed into, causing a power outage in Robloxity. Crash sites would later develop into car crash sites.
