The Robloxity Earthquake, also known as the Great ROBLOX Earthquake was one of the strongest earthquakes that Republic of ROBLOX has ever experienced. The earthquake had a magnitude of 9.2 and the first town to be affected by the earthquake was Brick Beach, and the most affected town of the nation was Robloxity.
Seismological context
The coast of the Republic of ROBLOX is close to the ROBLOX plate, this plate is in a very constant activity. The earthquake was the product of the tectonic collision between the Caribbean Plate and the ROBLOX Plate. The energy that is produced due to the tension between these plates can accumulate to manifest itself in large telluric movements. These geological characteristics make the Republic of ROBLOX classified as one of the most seismically active countries in the world, registering more than a hundred earthquakes of magnitude 6 and a dozen large tsunamis.
Prelude: Earthquake in Brick Beach
At 6:52 PM, a strong earthquake shook the eastern part of the Republic of ROBLOX. The movement had a magnitude between 8.4 and 8.6. This caused serious damage to various buildings and road works, mainly affecting the cities of Brick Beach, Robloxity, Obloxia City and OOFalls. More than a hundred people died. In Brick Beach, a third of the buildings had collapses, while in Robloxity the figure exceeded 70%.
Cataclysm in Robloxity
At 9:03 AM, Robloxity felt the strongest earthquake the Republic of ROBLOX has ever witnessed. The earthquake devastated Robloxity and gas explosions, fires, car accidents and collapsed buildings were reported.
Little by little the earthquake spread throughout the Republic, the earthquake affected the United States very little. This earthquake reached a magnitude of 9.2 and completely devastated Robloxity
Tsunami in the Atlantic Ocean
In a couple of minutes after the main earthquake, all the coastal towns of the Republic were devastated by a Tsunami. Product of the power of the seismic movement, the tsunami was devastating in almost all its extension. In the port of OOFalls, near Robloxity, the sea level rose over 3 m before beginning to retract rapidly (around 9:15 AM), dragging ships located in the bay. The Earthquake devastated the city of Robloxity, the tsunami alarm sounded on time but still many people died and were injured by the tsunami.
Later, the blast wave began to travel the Atlantic Ocean and affected part of Africa. The tsunami strongly affected the Bahamas.
The Volcanic eruptions
Two days after the earthquake struck the nation, two Republic volcanoes suddenly showed activity. The volcanoes were "Bloxcano" and "Bloques Volcano", both volcanoes erupted and caused great devastation. The "Bloxcano" affected the entire Neighborhood of Robloxia and caused panic and chaos, while the "Mount Bloques" caused forest fires and a large ash cloud that covered the sky, the "Mount Bloques" affected the city of "Los Bloques", this caused a shower of ash.
Aftermath
After everything happened, neighboring and distant countries supported the Republic of ROBLOX, the rescue teams headed to the worst affected cities (especially Robloxity) and began searching for people among the debris. Helicopters and rescue boats were dispatched to the cities affected by the tsunami.
In the Republic organizations such as "The National Ministry of Emergency and Rescue" were created, also other existing organizations such as "ROBLOX Public Safety Office" and "National Department of Natural Disaster Alert", improved their technology and alerts.
