The 2012 Destruction of Roblox City Disaster was a natural disaster that begun on December 21, 2012, and ended on December 22, 2012, with the earthquakes of the Eastern Robloxian Fault, of the East Robloxia. If it was rebuilt it would cost 2.7 billion Robux. However, Roblox City would not be rebuilt until 2015 due to popular opposition to the reconstruction that persisted until 2015, when the floodwaters abated, and it appeared that the disaster would not recur. The 2019 Destruction of Roblox City was a similar disaster, yet it disproved the hypothesis that the disaster would never recur (as it recurred), and the low-pressure cyclonic system was absent, only to be replaced by the notorious Hurricane Baszucki.

It can be argued that this disaster was the worst in Roblox's recorded history, though given that Roblox has a 4.57 billion year long history and a cautiously optimistic future in front of it, it is almost a certainty that there were considerably worse disasters, both in the past and in the unforeseeable and myopic future. Experts currently are speculating whether the disaster was truly natural, as it appears to recur in the city every seven years, and some conspiracy theorists speculate that the destruction of Roblox City was an inside job.

Disaster Synopsis:

High Wind + Earthquakes

From 12:00 PM to 6:24 AM, high winds struck Roblox City which caused no significant damage. After the high winds died down, the Robloxia Geological Survey was reporting on the fault as Builderville was hit by a 5.4 earthquake, and Bloxy City has hit by a 6.7 earthquake. Experts envisioned no further seismic activity.

Blizzard

In 6:30, the REAS was activated in Roblox City and nearby areas to warn Robloxians about severe weather. In 7:42, a blizzard started to form and spread across the city. In 8:52, the blizzard dissipated. The closure of the city's airport was the next disaster; three planes were stuck, two planes were crushed, but one plane flew to a safe airport.

The Big Earthquake

After some time, an earthquake happened, and all car alarms were activated. The Builderman Dam was burst from the shaking, causing the earthquake. The earthquake was major, and reports were coming in of some sort of a sinkhole near the forest. The earthquake then stopped. Despite the cessation on the seismological shaking, the hole in the north of the city was starting to expand.

Volcanic Eruption

Meanwhile, the east side of Telamon Peak collapsed into the sinkhole. Telamon Peak then erupted, causing magma to pour out. In 15:26, the eruption became enormous as it began to spew out ash and lava. Some people were evacuating to the north, stopping by a shelter. Back in the city, chunks of lava were crashing into buildings. By 18:28, the eruption became smaller, and by 18:45, the eruption had ceased.

Low Pressure Cyclonic System

In 19:22, a low-pressure cyclonic system quickly formed in the lake near Roblox City as it gradually intensified and moved inland. Meanwhile, RoMotors, the only vehicle dealership in the entire city and having accumulated a stock of many vehicles belonging to many major vehicle brands, said that "all must go" and decided to waive all the manufacturer suggested retail prices on the vehicles, essentially making them free for everyone who was still in the city limits at that time under the dealership would be destroyed. Soon, after, as barometric pressure dropped, the winds started to intensify. It became apparent that a storm was brewing in the horizon, as storm surge was developing in the lake. Subways and many underground shelters had to close to prevent themselves from being damaged by storm surge. As the city entered the eyewall of the cyclonic system, Robloxians enjoyed speculating about their idyllic life and their future before winds blowing in the opposite direction started to crash their idyllic life plans. Soon, after the beach was fully engulfed by the storm surge. On 21:21, the winds started to die as the low-pressure cyclonic system moved inland and rapidly dissipated due to the rapidly increasing barometric pressure. By then, the sinkhole already split the city in half. Some subway trains that were running overground were unable to decelerate properly and fell into the sinkhole. In total, 126 Robloxians were killed simply by falling to the sinkhole, along with their fellow passengers.

Tornado

Soon after, a tornado was visible from the farm, which lead to the REAS being activated about a tornado within the city jurisdictory limits. One white building and other houses fell into the sinkhole, killing 1,254 Robloxians. The city's only police department shut down indirectly as their building also fell into the sinkhole. Soon after, the tornado went past the city limits. Builderman then announced, "We will send planes to Roblox City to evacuate survivors!". Meanwhile, the crack is about to exit the Roblox City city limits.

Power Plant Meltdown and Aftermath

In 22:48, the city's power plant exploded, releasing a toxic cloud in the south of the city. Air quality rapidly decreased. There is some speculation that the toxic cloud may have caused the city to be more polluted than Bloxico City. The subway then reopened again, but this time, all service was cut off to allow Robloxians to use the location as a possible shelter. The power plant on the other hand, caused acid rain.

Meteors

Minutes after midnight, numerous meteors began to head straight for Roblox City. The first impacts occurred on 01:26, turning the sky into a full orange tone. There exists satirical denial myths that there were no meteors, but rather caused by too many gunshots in Robloxian soil. In 02:44, the last meteor impacted Roblox City. Meanwhile, rescue planes were finally tracked and were 27.1 kilometers away from the city, but only two rescue planes continued their journey to bravery while the others simply were hit by the meteors and were destroyed. Approximately a million Robloxians died from the meteors.

The Calm Before the Tsunami

Every bus service not stopping to the airport was terminated, and those that survived the mass termination were forced to make their last stop the airport. The reason the mayors did this was to facilitate the city's evacuation. For some reason, the sinkhole started to appear north of the buses, causing some of the buses to be grounded. A helicopter saw the area and decided to help Robloxians who were stranded on the grounded buses leave the city. Soon after, two more helicopters arrived. Meanwhile, the airport's two gates were subject to what could be the greatest mass evacuation in Robloxian history. Soon after, planes flying from Bloxanada to Roblox City arrived at their final destination, while being controlled by Telamon Air, which was reduced to operating during emergencies. In 03:18, the helicopters left to make room for the planes.

Tsunami

Soon after, a tsunami was detected 5,400 studs from Roblox City, while already hitting Builderville, as seen from satellites. News reporters called it a "megatsunami". In 03:36, the planes took off, leaving behind many vulnerable Robloxians.

Shortly, the tsunami hit the city. The plane made a first layover stop in Telamon Peak to evacuate Robloxians who have chosen to move to high ground prior to the tsunami. Meanwhile, the waters in the city began to rise as the city began to be flooded by the tsunami. At this point, 36 Robloxians were choosing to risk their lives by standing on the roofs of the last buildings of the entire city. The last citizen ever to pass away from the disaster was Don-Jake, with Caroland descent. He also was the last Robloxian standing.

Aftermath

After Don-Jake passed away peacefully, the tsunami then began to recede, but recession would be slow. It would take 26 years for the recession to complete, though the city was possibly habitable by 2015 according to some accounts (which led to some Robloxians having false hopes by redeveloping the city, only to be destroyed again in 2019, this time with much more serious consequences due to the tsunami massively altering the topographic relief of the city).
