The bus on April 17, 2008.
On the morning of April 17th, 2009, an accident occurred when a distracted truck driver ran through a red light. The semi-truck hit the side of a bus, causing the bus to flip over on its side. There were 24 Robloxians on the bus. Most of the Robloxians were heading to work or other places. 14 Robloxians were killed.
Accident Sequence
The public bus was carrying 24 robloxians, including the driver, ranging from ages 17 through 68. It was driving through its green light on Pixel Avenue when a fully loaded semi-truck barreled through a red light at the intersection, which caused it to strike the bus broadside. The collision caused the bus to flip violently onto its side, igniting a fire from the main fuel cell that spread with terrifying speed.
Witness Testimonies
Robloxians around the accident were shocked. According to a surviving passenger, the bus “rolled like a toy block,” and within seconds “smoke was pouring in from the engine bay.” One injured rider, speaking from a hospital gurney, claimed the rear exit was jammed shut and emergency windows “didn’t budge until someone kicked them out.” The fire spread quick and engulfed the bus in under 3 minutes according to eyewitnesses, not providing ample enough time for those seriously injured by the initial impact to escape.

The bus driver was among the survivors on the bus. Most of the victims had suffered severe blunt force trauma, and sustained injuries from the rollover. The main structure of the bus was crumpled inwards. According to autopsy reports, 5 people died on impact and 8 more in the fire. One person died in the hospital.
Semi
The semi-truck driver survived unscathed.
Sentencing
The semi-truck driver was sentenced to prison for 20 years for manslaughter. On the 14th of October, 2009, attempted to escape the prison, and after that proved unsuccessful, the truck driver was sent to a higher-security prison
