The two teams faced off in the Round of 16 match for the 2026 FAFI Roblox Cup. A crowd of 52,525 fans and millions of TV watchers witnessed football cinema.

Telamon Islands, as the tournament host, qualified automatically. Instead of qualifiers, it played a friendly series before the tournament. The team led by Moke Hinkaro took part in the FAFI Roblox Cup for the first time in 20 years, raising hopes among fans due to their great form. Telamonians won the opening match against Bloxangeria 2-1, then won against Roscotland by the same score. In the last round of the group stage they crashed Whale 4-0, and in the Round of 32 crashed Robloxia 3-0, entering the Round of 16 with the hope of another victory.

There they defeated Northern Bloxia Island 2-0 and Thirstia 4-2. Despite problems in the qualifiers, they looked confident and were considered favorites for the title. In the first match they slightly lost to Bloxico 3-4, and in the next match they defeated Bloxrazil 4-3, although they had a chance to win 4-1. Knowing that they would go on, they drew with Ro-Jordan 2-2. The humiliation was the round of 32, where they drew 1-1 with Costa Barra Republic, only beating them 4-3 on penalties. After some problems, but with the hope of having a better end of the tournament, they moved on to the round of 16.

After the first whistle, Romarkians took control of the match. Already in the 7th minute, Jonathan scored 0-1 after an individual action. They controlled the ball significantly for the rest of the first half. Finally, in the 35th minute, Gerd Florian beat Hanalei Iokepa's goal, making the score 0-2. While Romarkian fans were celebrating, huge crowds of Telamonians were devastated. First you could hear the loudest whistles in Roblox, then silence, and only in the second half they started singing military songs to raise the team's spirits.

Romarkians were looking for a third goal but were unable to find it. The Telamonians transformed their defense into an impenetrable iron fortress. It did not look like haramball, but more like an unusual tactic. Then they started to counterattack. In the 68th minute, after an assist from Keone Akela, George Miller scored to make it 1-2. Then Mohammed Kebbal scored beautifully from the edge of the penalty area in the 79th minute, equalizing the score at 2-2.
