OK Having watched through the finale of Season 3, Frank has to die. No doubt about it. Claire can live, though she is almost as demented as Frank.
Here is what I would like to see for Season 4 episode 1.
Claire briefly rejoins Frank in the Oval office. They share a last smoke together at the open Rose Garden door. They discuss openly that Doug has finished off Rachel.
Claire uses Rachel's murder as an opportunity to demonstrate Franks controlling and demented character. Frank once again turns on Claire with anger and physically attacks her. As she recoils into the Oval Office, it is revealed that Freddy Hayes has been listening and watching the whole time. Freddy leaps from the bushes with his machete and decapitates Frank with one chop. Meechum enters the room and is so overwrought with grief that he takes no action regarding Freddy.
The camera focuses on Franks decapitated body, blood spurting over his outstretched arms, his cufflinks engraved "F" and "U" tightly together and bloody, his decapitated head nearby, open staring eyes gazing at his own wrists.
As witnesses gather, Freddy is quoted to have said "Someone needed to chop the head from that "snake"".
The remainder of Season 4 will focus on Freddy's trial and eventually a hung jury. During the trial, every aspect of Frank and Claire's twisted life will be revealed to the world. It will be revealed during trial that Frank bragged about his plans with Freddy, and that Freddy overheard much of what Frank planned while at the BBQ restaurant.. Freddy tolerated his "good customer" but disliked him greatly.
