Jennifer Baumgarten is the acting Attorney General of the United States succeeding Martha Wilson as head of the Department of Justice. As a member of Claire Underwood's Cabinet, she publicly shares the President's sentiments that the time has come to "clean house" at the DOJ. Claire publicly praises Jenny for her commitment, but privately states that she will come in handy for other legal projects as well. Her appointment was part of a major Cabinet shift by President Underwood in which she replaced all of her Cabinet Secretaries with women. Vice President Mark Usher disapproved of her choice, stating that Baumgarten was a nobody 72 hours before.
