The attempted assassination of United Kingdom Prime Minister Francis Urquhart occurred during his third term as prime minister. On a motorway near London, Prime Minister Urquhart's limousine was forced off the road by a car containing three drunken louts. The attackers threatened Urquhart's party with baseball bats, but were unlawfully shot dead by security staff as they approach. Urquhart himself sustained minor head injuries in the collision, but his life was not endangered.
